"Hi."Mikha said softly and tried to kiss Stacey on the cheek but Stacey avoided it. They were in the girls locker room, they had just finished try outs for the school track team.

"What happened to you?"Mikha asked confusedly."Why do you look annoyed?"

There is a trace of annoyance on Stacey's face. Mikha and Stacey have been friends since they were fourteen years old. They are so close and sweet to each other that people mistake them for being in a relationship. But they don't care what people think of them. So Mikha now wonders why Stacey avoided the kiss.

"Nothing. I'm just tired, Mikha." She exclaimed a bit frustrated with her.

After a while, a burst of laughter filled the air emanating from a distance which increased her annoyance.

There she saw Jhoanna with her friends. They were laughing at something on what Colet showed on her phone. Jhoanna's bright smile revealed small dimples on her cheeks, which made her even more heartwarmingly attractive.

Maloi said something that made Jhoanna jumped excitedly. Then suddenly, someone bumped into her causing the bottled water she's holding spilled on her shirt. Stacey saw that instead of getting angry, Jhoanna just smiled at the boy who bumped into her. She even bowed and said sorry.

Wow, how stupid.

Why is this girl so disgustingly cheerful and kind? She wrinkled her nose in disgust at Jhoanna. She was annoyed because of Jhoanna's gentleness and niceness were obviously contagious. She hated her beauty, her set of perfectly white teeth, her smug face and her friendliness. Stacey hated her with all her being. She was really not mean to anyone, di naman ganon kasama ang ugali niya. She often smiled at people but mostly they knew her smile was more dangerous than her frown. She frowned when her sister suddenly approached Jhoanna and waved them goodbye, but her sister was only looking at Jhoanna.

She could see how the cheerful girl smile widened because of that. Stupid.

Crush niya parin si Ate hanggang ngayon. She's hopeless.

A terrifying glare can be seen on Stacey's face because of what she saw. Jhoanna appeared oblivious to Stacey's dark mood and glares. But suddenly she turned to her causing their eyes to meet. Jhoanna shifted uncomfortably and shivered slightly at the intensity of the glare. She didn't really understand why Stacey disliked her so much. As far as she knows she was nice and pleasant to everyone, hindi siya sanay na may kaaway at may nagtatanim ng galit sa kanya. To be quiet honest she didn't like Stacey either but still she wouldn't give her dirty looks for no apparent reason. Plus, she couldn't help herself but be nice to everyone, it was just the way she was.

She tried to quickly composed herself, but of course Stacey noticed her discomfort and smirked mischievously.

What's wrong with her? Jhoanna pondered as she proceed to talk to her friends. Earlier she was looking at her evilly, but now she was smirking. Is she okay? Baliw ba siya?

Like Jhoanna, Mikha is also surprised by the sudden change in Stacey's mood, earlier she was annoyed but now she has this mischievous smirked in her face while looking at something or somenone. Mikha turned her head to where Stacey was looking. She was looking at Jhoanna Robles. That cheerful girl with a bright smile. Mikha mentally rolled her eyes.

"Kanina your annoyed but when you saw that Jhoanna girl biglang nag-iba mood mo."Mikha said annoyed."What is happening to you Stacey?"

Stacey did not say a word.

"Do you like that girl. I thought you hated her?"

"What? No."Stacey snapped."Where did you get that from? And why do you even care?"There is a hint of frustration on Stacey's face. And she could feel the start of throbbing headache at the back of her head. She just wanted this conversation with Mikha to end, to go home, lie down and get a long relaxing bath.
