Jhoanna

"Did you enjoy the food?"Aiah asked as she smiled at me. I internally winced because of her question. No I did not enjoy the food. How do you get full from just eating grass? My consciousness deadpans.

We are already outside their restaurant, we have finished eating but I still feel hungry. I could hear my stomach rumbling. It's even embarrassing because my plate was so clean earlier that I wouldn't leave even a single piece of food.

Stacey even saw me look at her half-eaten steak with a hungry look. I sobbed in my head. Nakakahiya ka, Jhoanna. Good thing Aiah didn't let me pay for the salad. I'm thankful because I'm really broke.

"Oo nag-enjoy ako."Ang sarap nung damo. I smiled shyly at her and adjusted the strap of my back pack.

"Sorry again Jho, for what happened last tim—"

I cut her off."Stop apologizing. Tapos na yon."I chuckle slightly.

That made her chuckled too as she looked at me intently."You're really kind and beautiful Jhoanna."I felt my cheeks turn red because of what she said. Aiah titled her head while staring at me, causing everything in my stomach to twist and turn.

"Why are you staring at me like t-that?"I asked in a whisper. I couldn't look at her properly.

"Because you have a beautiful smile."

I got startled hearing what she said. It was my first time someone compliments me. And the fact that those words came to my crush. That's really flattering.

I could die at this moment.

"If you want, let's go out again next time..."There was a short but comfortable silence, prompting her to speak again."... yung tayong dalawa lang."

My cheeks flushed red even more. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I played in with my hands, a sign that I was nervous.

"I found myself thinking all this week about you. I was so worried that you may have had injuries or something. And you showing up here, definitely made my night."

Her sweet words melted my heart. I don't think she realized how truly she was. What if I'll admit that I have a crush on her. Anong kayang magiging reaksyon niya. Tanggapin niya kaya? But knowing Aiah, she doesn't embarrass people, she will still talk to you and deal with it in a good and a nice way. That's why I fell for her even more.

"Me too. I've been thinking about you every—"

"This is so sweet. I think I'm going to puke."

We were surprised when Stacey suddenly spoke behind us. Both of us glanced at her, narrowing our eyes at her sarcastic tone. She crossed her arms while grinning at us.

Aiah just shook her head at her sister."Again, I'm sorry about her."Aiah looks at me apologetically."I know she's mean, but that's her charm."

"Maybe you forget I'm still here, I can hear you."Stacey said and rolled her eyes.

Aiah deeply sighed as she looked at her sister."Mabuti pa ihatid mo si Jhoanna."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you want to get your car back, right?"

That made Stacey shut her mouth and just rolled her eyes again at her sister. 

Then Aiah turned to me. "Ihahatid ka pala niya para makabawi siya kahit sa ganitong paraan man lang."She said and I quickly shook my head.

"Nako wag na. Commute nalang ako."I refuse. Ayoko ng magsama kaming dalawa lang, sigurado iinsultuhin na naman niya ako. Ayoko na. I've had enough.
