Despite waking up with a throbbing headache and a grief in her chest, Stacey had to admit she felt slightly more at ease by the sensation of warm body that pressed against her back. She couldn't fight off a smile of relief and the feeling of comfort that Jhoanna's presence brought her. But she suddenly remembered the fight she and her father had last night on the phone. All her life she tries to make her father proud of her. But it's not always enough. Her father always compares her to her sister. Her father wants her to pursue business just like Aiah but that's not what she wants. And they don't understand that.

She suddenly remembered how Jhoanna look at her. That look had only given to her once in her life. And as luxurious and isolated as her life had been without the usual general kindness and love that she should feel from her own family, it was quite rare. And the look of Jhoanna's eyes last night had her completely taken back. The first time she received such a look of admiration and maybe love in Jhoanna's eyes.

Her parents never once looked at her like that. Being loved and showing love was not something Stacey was used to. Her father thinks of her as a failure and a burden on their family. Whatever she wants is not accepted, all her opinions are not listened to. But when it comes to her sister, everyone listens to her, everything she does is right. There is nothing wrong. Maybe that's why she became so stubborn, because of what she went through and she just keeps her feelings to herself because she has no one else.

She only has herself, no one likes her. No one loves her. She even asked herself before. Did her parents ever love her? More questions asked to herself as she grew up because she feels that a lot of people don't like her. Was she really unloveable? Was she really unworthy of love? Was she useless? Like her father said to her.

Last night she had enough, she couldn't take it anymore, so she answered her father with bad words. Because of that she was grounded and she was not allowed to use her car for two freaking weeks.

She should be angry by now but suddenly disappeared because of Jhoanna. Seeing her sleeping soundly in her bed with her mouth slightly open, she felt relieved and replaced with comfort. She just smiled and shook her head, this loser is so gross but she had to admit that she's cute. This girl is really different. Different from everyone she met, and she likes it. There were so many things she was feeling at once and she didn't know what to focus on. The confusion, the annoyance, the jealousy, the joy the hope and....the excitement. That she never felt before.

She really likes how Jhoanna shut her up and how she stands up for herself especially when they met for the first time. But she doesn't like it when Jhoanna ignores her and when she does not obey her. She's so stubborn and super friendly sometimes it gets her into trouble. She could feel her blood boiling in anger because of that bastard. I will murder him with my two hands when I see him near Jhoanna again. She clenched her jaw as she thought of that hearthrob wannabe.

But her anger disappeared when Jhoanna suddenly moved and Stacey was surprised when the latter hugged her from behind. She froze, her body went completely still. The warmth that Jhoanna brought against her was something which she could never quite describe. It's electrifying. It sends tingles down to her body and it feels so good. She smiled because of that, and she closed her eyes again as she felt the warmth of Jhoanna's embrace.

Jhoanna woke up to soft sheets the flowery scents swirling with jasmine, lilac filled her nose, such a familiar scent to her which she could never forget. The mattress was soft, the sheets were crisp white, they felt like silk on Jhoanna's bare skin. And the body next to her was warm and breathing steadily as she slept beside her.

Jhoanna stared at the woman who clouded her mind for how many months now, the woman who has made her feel so much. Good things and bad things, but more on bad things. But despite that, she knows in her heart that Stacey is what her heart is looking for. No matter how she holds back. They say nothing can stop a heart that loves. And you can't really choose who you love. You will just feel it.
