Epilogue

Jhoanna could hear the gasp and murmurs that spread down the whole room. Everyone was shocked and looking at them with wide eyed. In the past few days they have been the talk of the whole school because of the scene they witnessed in the school track and field. And Jhoanna was sure that they will be the talk of the whole school again, even on social media.

She felt Stacey tangled her hands in her brown locks pulling her closer. Jhoanna was just standing there, froze in the spot with eyes wide open. She never thought Stacey would do something like this. They are kissing, not in the comfort of their own homes, but in public, she knew how scared Stacey is. Jhoanna can feel it through the way she shakes through the kiss.

And this shocked Jhoanna's whole being. She doesn't know how to react, but eventually she started responding as if her body had its own brain. The kiss was different from their previous kissed before. It's equally passionate and sweet, but it's more gentle. Full of unspoken promises, it feels like angels moulded thier lips for each other. Like Stacey's breathing pure life into her and she can't help but respond.

Jhoanna felt warmth spread through her, the weight of her worries momentarily lifting as she melted into the kiss, she doesn't care about the people around them anymore. She closed her eyes, as their kiss deepened, her hand rested into Stacey's shoulder as she pulled her closer.

Jhoanna felt so safe with the kiss, like she can crumble into void of nothingness and Stacey can be there to hold her. And just like that their intimate moment broke, Stacey slowly pulled away from her and looked at Jhoanna straight from the eye.

Sometimes, Jhoanna feels as though she could get lost in those beautiful eyes of Stacey or maybe she already has. She felt trapped, tied to her soul and unable to escape or, maybe she didn't want to escape.

Seemingly with the care in world around them. Stacey cupped both of Jhoanna's cheeks and caress it.

"I want you back, Jhoanna."Stacey's voice was so soft."And I'm willing to risk it all for you. I'm sorry ngayon ko lang naisip gawin to, but I don't care about what other people say, I don't care about my father anymore, I don't care if he abandoned me and take away the luxurious life I have now. As long as I have you, nothing else matters."

Jhoanna was silent. Rendered speechless by Stacey's words, she was in complete dazed. Her breath caught in her throat, the latter's words piercing deep into her chest and it melts her heart.

"I know I don't deserve you. I know I'm a mess. I know I don't have the greatest track record, I hurt you. And I hated myself for doing that. B-But, do you still want me?"Her voice sounds so desperate and hopeful at the same time.

Jhoanna wanted to cry with the hapiness she was feeling. She felt fireworks bouncing off every inch of her body as she listens to Stacey's every words. Of course she wanted her. So much. Suddenly the bottom of her eyes felt hot. And she didn't realize that her tears were falling.

Stacey slowly wiped her cheek with her thumb and kissed her knuckles, causing her to smile faintly, and then Jhoanna nodded at her.

"O-Oo naman. You never know how much I want you back, Staku. Walang araw na hindi kita iniisip."Jhoanna smiled as she brought her left hand to carress Stacey's cheeks with her thumb. "And don't ever say that you don't deserve me, because you deserve all the love and happiness in the world. And I am more than happy to give it to you."

Stacey's tears flowed down through her eyes. She was crying with pure joy. Happy tears as they say.

Jhoanna was looking at Stacey intently as words seeped from her mouth and wiped the latter's tears."S-Staku, you are that once in a lifetime and a dream come true. And I will be happy to have you back. Because of you I learned the true meaning of love. And that's you Stacey, you are the meaning of love for me."
