Ed Sheeran was right. Loving can hurt.

It hurts so bad.

When you’re deep in the mire of heartbreak, chances are that you feel pain somewhere in your body—probably in your chest or stomach.

Some people describe it as a dull ache, others as piercing, while still others experience it as a crushing sensation. The pain can last for a few seconds and then subside, or it can be chronic, hanging over your days.

As for Jhoanna everything inside her was hurting.

When your heart is broken, it can feel like the end of the world. No amount of pain has ever felt so agonizing or concentrated. It's like a giant hole was pummeled into her chest, with no hope of repair.

It was all too much.

Jhoanna's eyes were burning, Maloi came to her and hugged her. While Colet was rubbing her hair gently then Sheena and Gwen held her hand tightly. They were whispering comforting words that would hopefully help to ease Jhoanna's broken heart.

As Jhoanna dropped her eyes shut and sobbed, Stacey was the only thing she could see, the glimpses and their memories together was flashing through her mind all the happy memories she wished would never end.

She fell hard for Stacey. So hard, to the point that she gave her everything.

Lahat ng kaya niyang ibigay, binigay niya.

When she thought about the future, she saw Stacey in it. She imagined a bright future with the latter, experiencing all they ever wanted in their relationship.

Only to realize it was only a dream.

And will remain as a dream.

Because she seems to be the only one fighting for their relationship.

That night she felt sick, couldn't eat, and couldn't sleep. And she was grateful to her friends because they never left her alone.  She cried all night until she had no more tears to shed in her eyes.

Jhoanna woke up early in the morning. Two days have passed since her heart was broken. She could feel the throbbing headache at the back of her head. She was dumbfounded for a minute, she also felt that her eyes were swollen from crying, later on the ringing sound of her phone filled her room.

Stacey. She was calling her again.

She had received her first call from the latter two days ago when she left her condo. She froze on the spot as she stared at her phone which was resting on the side table. Jhoanna swallowed thickly and picked up her phone with her trembling fingers before looking at it.

Her heart twitched when she saw Stacey's message.

Baby I'm so sorry please talk to me. I don't want to lose you.

Jho, talk to me please. Can I come over? I really need to talk to you.

Seeing Stacey's message felt her heart incredibly heavy.

Her world feels heavy. Her eyes feel heavy.

Her heart is so very heavy.

I'm sorry, please baby. I love you.

Jhoanna's hands were itching to reply I love you too. But she stopped herself, she was accepting defeat alam niyang walang mangyayari, she doesn't want to be fooled by Stacey anymore.
