Chapter 22

Jhoanna and Stacey were both looking confused at the two people in front of them. There are many questions in their heads that they wanted to ask. But not a single word came out of their mouths. They waited patiently for them to say something.

"We are dating."Aiah stared." Alam ko nagulat kayo at nagtataka kayo kung paano nangyari yon, dahil si Stacey ang gusto ni Mikha. But for the past weeks that we were always together, we learned a lot about each other and that's where it all started. We're getting to know each other now. They say best love is unexpected right? You meet them by fate and it's an instant connection."Aiah grabbed Mikha's hand which was on the top of the table, entwining their fingers together. "But were not here para pag-usapan ang tungkol samin. Actually Mikha is here to apologize. Go on, Mikha."

Aiah squeezed Mikha's hand. A sign to encourage her. Regret and shame flashed in Mikha's eyes and she ducked down to look at her lap. But when she looked up and locked eyes with Jhoanna, there was shame in her eyes as her face was filled with guilt.

"I'm so sorry Jhoanna."She stared, her voice almost breaking. Jhoanna let out a breath and shifted in her seat. She couldn't believe what was happening since the memory of Mikha who was shouting, insulting, threatening and calling her names kept popping in Jhoanna's head. Mikha quickly wiped her eyes, and she felt Aiah tightened her grip into her hand." I-I'm so sorry for being a bitch. I even threatened you na tanggalan ka ng scholarship at .... dahil sa selos umabot pa ako sa point na inutusan ko si Taneo na bastusin ka."

"Too late for that. You're my friend Mikha, bakit kailangan mong umabot sa ganon?"Stacey's voice showed that she was disappointed with what Mikha had done."If only I wasn't your friend. Baka hindi ko na alam kung anong nagawa ko sayo."

"I'm sorry Stacey, I was just blinded by my feelings for you. I was hurt... kasi ako yung nauna pero simula nung nakilala mo si Jhoanna parang hindi mo na ako kilala. It made me angry and jealous."

"Why would you be jealous?"Stacey asked with a cold voice.

"Nagseselos ako dahil hindi ako ang gusto mo."

Stacey just shook her head because what Mikha said, she then felt Jhoanna squeezed her hand and the latter squeezed back.

"Nagseselos ako tuwing tinitignan mo si Jhoanna. That look that I wish na matanggap ko din, and I thought you could return the feelings I had for you kung ipipilit ko sarili ko. Pero hindi pala."

"Una palang, I made it clear na wala akong gusto sayo."

"Yeah I know, pero pinilit ko parin then I saw you hug Jhoanna at the hallway it breaks my heart. Sa sobrang sakit ng naramdaman ko doon ko kinausap si Taneo na bastusin si Jhoanna. I even threatened Taneo too, wala siyang kasalanan dito ako dapat ang sisihin sa lahat."Mikha glanced between the woman in front of her. Regret and embarassment was evident in her eyes. Then she turned to looked at Jhoanna.

"Jhoanna, I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry, for all the bad things I did to you. I was hurt... at sarili ko lang ang iniisip ko and I was blinded by my love for Stacey. It was wrong of me to do all of that. I regret it please, forgive me."Suddenly a tear fell from Mikha's eyes and she quickly wiped it off. Jhoanna could hear the sincerity in her voice.

"Please, forgive me. I would like to start over and be friends. "

Jhoanna nodded and sympathy filled her. Mikha was hurt, she obviously was. Jhoanna knows being rejected by the person you like is not a pleasant feeling and it's hurts so much. It sucks. And she personally understands how Mikha felt and where her feelings coming from. She's been there too.

"It's okay Mikha. Kalimutan na natin yon pinapatawad na kita."Mikha's eyes softened and smiled at Jhoanna. She couldn't contain her happiness and she was relieved that Jhoanna accepted her apology. Too much emotion caused Mikha to cry even more. Jhoanna pouted cutely she felt like crying too and reached for Mikha's hand.
