It's MSD's birthday, I cannot stop myself from giving you all double updates.
Plus, Happy Rath Yatra guys.POV :~ KSHITIJ
I had never thought that I'll let her ask whatever she wants, but here I'm, all prepared to answer her questions. All because of one singular fact that the woman talking to me is my wife.
She cleared her throat, "Personal questions?"
"Anything, Kritika," I replied to her question.
Why will I stop her from asking personal questions related to her husband? She has all the rights to know.
"Um- Did you had a girlfriend?"
I shook my head — shit, she is on call.
"No. I ...never had a girlfriend."
I truly never had a girlfriend before. How can I? When I never liked anyone's touch? And no girlfriend would have spared me for her touch.
Talking about Hridya, she didn't use to touch me at earlier phases, but we came close, hugging and all became normal. But she wasn't my girlfriend.
"Never?" She asked, amused.
I hummed.
"Wow."
I chuckled, "You had a — boyfriend?"
"Yeah," she chuckled too, "Standard 11th. We broke up. I dumped him."
"Girls and their aristocratic nose after they say 'I dumped him.' "
"Hey!!! He was meant to be dumped. Really."
I laughed, "Every girl says the same."
"But —" she paused, thinking something, "But he was cheating upon me."
"He broke your heart?" I asked, interestingly.
"Nopes, it seems I was never in love with him." Her voice came out nonchalant.
"Just one ex?" I questioned her to which she hummed, "Never thought of pulling out the stunt again."
I laughed.
"Does that mean I'm the first girl in your life?"
First girl. In my life.
I swallowed hard. No going back. Baby steps. Relax.
"Um. Actually, there was one. I told you.. about her, earlier? Didn't I?"
"Yes! Yes, I remember now."
"That's it."
"She must be.. I mean.. you must have allowed her to-touch y-you," she asked, hesitantly.
I hummed. When she stayed quiet for way too long, I chimed in immediately,
"But. Touching as in friendly touch. I'm..." I cleared my throat, and pushed myself to say it, and clear her thoughts about what she is thinking, because I know girls overthink a lot, "—a virgin."
"I didn't mean to ask that. I mean—" She sounded flushed.
I cut her off, "I wanted to...tell you."
Ofcourse. If I wouldn't have told her, she would have succumbed to her overthinking capabilities and maybe ended up in depression or something out of pure jealousy. No kidding. I had to save my virginity for my wife, right? No matter who ever it would be.
"Kshitij?" She called my name in a very melodious voice.
I hummed.
"Even if you were not, nothing would have changed."
