POV :~ KRITIKA
I was in a deep sleep, when I felt someone sitting beside me and stroking my hand.
Forcefully, I opened my eyes, only to find my husband sitting on the edge of bed beside me.
He was wearing a crisp white shirt that contrasted beautifully with his tan skin, tucked neatly into a pair of charcoal grey trousers. His dark hair was styled perfectly, a few strands rebelliously falling over his forehead, giving him a slightly tousled, yet polished look. The navy blue tie he wore added a touch of sophistication, its subtle sheen catching the morning light.
His sharp jawline was slightly beardy, and his eyes, framed by those long lashes, looked absolutely beautiful. I could see the faintest hint of cologne, a scent that was distinctly his, lingering in the air.
He noticed me stirring and gazed into my eyes, a gentle smile spreading across his face. "Good morning," he said softly, his voice a warm caress that made my heart flutter.
"Good morning," I replied, my voice still heavy with sleep.
"I - I was leaving."
Within seconds, I sat up abruptly. "So soon?"
He swallowed hard and gave me a nod, "I'll be back on 31st, morning," he leaned in and placed a kiss on the crown of my head, giving me butterflies.
I leaned down and hugged him, pressing a kiss on his cheek. "You'll text me, and call me. Okay? I'll hear no excuses. And you," I pulled back, "Give me the number of your manager. Your phone comes off sometimes."
He let out a soft laugh and pulled my cheek, "I'll send you. Go back to sleep now, it's quite early. I'll ask the driver to drop and pick you up from work. And take care, don't take cold showers, please, you'll catch cold."
I nodded my head, wondering how does he know that I take cold showers to clear up my mind from all the tensions that has been bringing up my old tendencies and attacks back.
He made me rest back on the bed, and covered my body with the blanket upto my chin. Standing up, he leaned down, and muttered against mouth, "Tell me you'll not miss me at all."
I arched my body up, and placed a kiss on the corner of his mouth, "I'll not miss you, Kshitij."
He smiled, stroking my cheek, "Bye."
I gave him a nod, and saw him picking up his blazer and bag from the sofa then he walked outside of our room, leaving me alone with a sad mind and soul.
I still can't believe that yesterday was so beautiful. We literally spent the entire day, together. And we're going to spend many more days together.
I've started kissing him, on his face and I'm sure, he'll kiss me on my face soon too — not just on my hair.
