Mason's POV:

"Will is talking to Sophie again." I muttered to my sister. I could feel jealousy growing deep inside my chest. My heart burned with rage as they continued to laugh and joke with each other. It should be me that he laughs with. Me that he gives all of his attention to. Not Sophie.

Mabel chuckled, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. "Oh~ Mason, my little brother, is jealous! I could hypnotize him if you want~" Her amulet glowed a mesmerizing teal as she wiggled her eyebrows mischievously. I sighed, pushing her away playfully. "You can't hypnotize a demon, Mabel. And I'm only seven minutes younger than you!" I growled, causing her to laugh. But not a normal laugh, an evil laugh. One that said, "I'm going to give you an idea that you'll regret."

"I have an idea." She whispered, coming close to my ear. She quietly muttered a horrible idea into my ear, a horrible yet beautiful idea. I smirked quietly, reaching into my pocket and stroking the smooth, wooden handle on my switchblade.

"Perfect."

It was midnight. Sophie was walking through an alleyway, her dog skipping along playfully by her side. Each step she took, I followed, not making a sound. Mabel was right next to me, giggling softly. I looked her in the eyes, guilt coursing through my veins. "What if the police find out, and I get arrested? I don't want to be known as "Mason the Maniac Killer."  I whispered. "You love Will, right? You want to be with him forever?" She questioned.

I did, but was this necessary? I loved Will, and she was getting in the way. So, this has to be the only way. "Alright, but never again. This is the last time!" My voice was shaking slightly as I said that. The knife in my hand quivered. Everything seemed to get blurry as I walked towards Sophie. Was I actually about to do this?

She turned around, her eyes widening slightly. "N...Nice costume, Mason! I-Is there a costume party you're going to...?" She mumbled. The knife gleamed in the light as I pressed it against her neck. Tears filled her eyes. She looked around, but there wasn't a living thing in sight. "M-Mason...Let me go! I-I won't tell anybody..." Sophie cried softly. The tears rolled down her cheeks, landing on my knife. The water showed a reflection of my face. What I've become. "I-I'm sorry, Sophie. Maybe you'll come to forgive me. But Will is mine." I raised the knife, looking at the clean silver metal, before lowering straight into her throat.

Thump!

Sophie was on the ground, dead. A lovely red liquid spilling out onto the cement. Blood covered my shirt and pants, mixing with fabric. "I...killed her. I really killed her, Mabel." I said, but there wasn't a response. Only loud footsteps from behind me. I turned around, only to see Will behind me, staring up at me with the same liquid dripping down his arms. An axe was in his hands, one that you'd cut down trees with. Will's cold frown slowly started to turn into an innocent smile. He wiped the blood off his hands, wrapping them around my waist. "What a surprise, Mason~"

"What a nice surprise..."

Before you kill me, the dog escaped. The dog didn't die.
