Chapter Eight

As sometime passes by. We are both dressed in our armor, looking a bit disheveled from our time spent in the field. I'm panting slightly, my hair tousled and Eris's breaths shaky. Despite the love we shared, Eris feels strangely at ease and relaxed. When She hears my compliment, "you look so beautiful Eris." I can feel see her cheeks flush slightly, a small smile curving on her lips.

"Thank you....Y/N" Eris says softly, reaching out to tuck a stray lock of hair behind my ear. Eris is at a loss for words for a moment, trying to express the swarm of emotions within our hearts.

Feeling the pleasant peace that comes with escaping the constant battle. With her hand resting on my neck, I can feel my heart hammering in my chest, a testament to the emotions coursing through me. The moment feels so right and perfect that I can't help but smile even wider. "It really is nice to have a moment like this. Just us, no fighting, no conflict." I say, my voice soft and filled with affection. I take her hand and gently pull her closer to me, wanting to feel her warmth.

As Eris feels my arms wrap around her waist, she smiles and lean into your embrace, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort. Then l nervously ask "Are we officially dating?" and Eris can't help but let out a soft giggle, amused by your question. "Of course we are." Eris says, looking up at you with a small smirk. "What, I will only be like this for you." She teases gently, reaching up to rub my head affectionately.

"I didn't know! I thought, I don't know I just didn't want you to be forced to date me.." As I look away from her eyes, she can't help but sigh softly at your words. There's a hint of insecurity in your voice, a fear that you're somehow pressuring or forcing Eris to date you. She reaches out and gently tilts your chin up, making you look at her... "Hey, listen to me." Eris speaks up causing me to snap out of it, her voice gentle but firm. "You're not forcing me to do anything. I'm here with you because I want to be. Because I...love you, more than anything. Do you understand?"

I smile, "yes I understand Eris. I feel the same way, but I can't help but to feel so lucky." I say and I know Eris isn't a big hugger but I want to hug her. As I quickly and awkwardly pull her into a hug, she can't help but chuckle softly, amused by my eagerness and affection. She wraps her arms around your neck, returning the hug and holding you close.

"Lucky, huh?" Eris murmurs, her voice filled with a hint of playfulness. "I think I'm the one who should be feeling lucky, being with you." As my eyes widen, I pull away to look at Eris, and a smirk appears on your lips. Eris raises an eyebrow at my words, a soft chuckle escaping her.

"Oh, don't act so surprised. You know full well why I'm lucky to have you." Eris says, her voice teasing and affectionate. For a moment there's silence between us both as I raise my eyebrows, thinking there's no way she believes she's the more lucky person. "I've got the most amazing, kind, and incredibly attractive girlfriend." I feel an explosion of nervousness and happiness, I never thought I would hear those words.

Eris sees your reaction - the blushing, the smile, the way your entire face turns a deep red - makes her laugh softly, amusement and affection filling her. She finds you so adorable, and your bashfulness only makes her want to tease you more. She reaches out to gently poke your cheek. "Oh, you're blushing again. You're adorable, you know that?"

As you blush even deeper and cover your face with one hand, Eris can't help but smile warmly at your reaction. She finds you just so adorable when you get like this, and it only makes her affection for you grow even more. She steps closer to you, gently moving your hand away from your face, trying to get you to meet her eyes. "Well, now you do. You're absolutely adorable when you blush like this, and I can't get enough of it."

I look at her in the eyes and smile harder, "after all of the four years I've had a crush on you. I would always blush like this, maybe even worse when you would give me the slightest attention." I smile staring at her, completely soaked in love. And then my eyes widen as I begin to realize. "Have you ever noticed? Throughout the years?" I say worriedly. As you speak, Eris's heart swells with affection. The thought of you having feelings for her all this time, blushing and getting flustered whenever she was around...But then your last question takes her by surprise, and she tilts her head slightly, a hint of curiosity sparking in her eyes.
