Since coming out to the world in 2019 Toni and Janet had been pretty chill. They were raising their kids and enjoying life. That was until the pandemic hit. The Braxton-Jackson household was one of the first to quarantine and one of the last to lift their quarantine. They did so because of Toni's health. Over the years she had a few flare ups resulting in her being hospitalized for a week at a time. Thank God that Toni had only experienced just a few flare ups. Janet was always looking out for her wife. They had changed their lifestyle slightly. Janet and Toni worked out daily, did Pilates once a week and became pescatarian/vegetarian. All the kids except Aaliyah were still meat eaters. Aaliyah had always been a fruit and veggies kid so it was natural for her to gravitate towards being a vegetarian.

The kids were all thriving. Denim had finished college and decided that he wanted to go into the film industry. He played around his first year and his mothers promptly stopped paying his tuition until he got himself together. He got a job at the studio with Vince and paid his own tuition for his second year of school. After sitting down and discussing his future with his mothers, they came to an agreement that if he kept his grades up they would pay for his tuition. It worked out and he graduated college with honors after having to take two classes again. Serenity, oh Ms.Serenity, she was truly a mix of Janet and Toni as she got older. She was outspoken like Toni but possessed Janet's quietness at times. She was such a force in their household but no one would have it any other way. She was about to enter into her senior year of high school and she was happily living life. Serenity was the drum major for her school's band. She was the perfect person. She was full of personality, with an incredible music sense and filled the role to a T!

Aaliyah was the most beautiful flower child. She was into all things spiritual and crystals. She was about to make a major life change being that she would be entering high school this year. She was excited yet nervous, she often talked to her plants and mothers about her apprehension and nervousness. Janet and Toni did an excellent job of reassuring Aaliyah that her feelings were valid and she should allow herself to feel them. Eissa though the youngest was the kindest, most gentle and musically inclined kid you could meet. Since being in the womb he always loved music and as he grew he wanted to play every instrument his mothers introduced him to. He was also so smart he started school early. Instead of going into first grade like he should be because of his birthday, he's entering second grade. He could have skipped another grade but Janet and Toni didn't think that skipping him more than one grade was necessary. The Braxton-Jackson children were the light of their parents lives and you could see how much both women loved their kids.

Janet and Toni were stronger than even relationship wise. They always talked things out and made time to spend with each other and their family. Mama Kat and Mama Evelyn shared a three bedroom guest house that Janet and Toni had built on their property. It was a nice single story house that had space enough for both older women and was equipped with whatever they could possibly need. The kids loved having their grandmothers close by. Whenever the children disappeared you would probably find them at the house with their grandmothers.

While everyone thought Janet had been chilling, she hadn't been. She decided to tour and immediately fell back into her first love of music. Let's tell the truth, the woman was a musical genius. Her collaborations with Jam and Lewis over the years is something to be studied. She also has an incredible ear and vocals. When she was on break from the tour which was during the winter months she was in the studio pouring her all into her music. In 2022 Toni had been struggling with what to do with her time. She wanted to do music but not fully back into it like Janet. She was approached by the Las Vegas Tourism Group and offered a Vegas residency. Except they wanted to try something different with it this time. The group wanted to add a comedy element, a two for one type of deal. Toni was onboard but wanted to pick the comedian that would accompany her. She reached out to a few comedians and two responded to her inquiry. Toni sat down with both but ultimately ended up choosing Cedric the Entertainer as he was more on brand with her and her style. As a one off Janet was offered to headline a music festival in Las Vegas called Lovers and Friends.
