Love at First Sight

Chapter 3

I stood in the cafeteria, my eyes darting to the long line of students waiting for their lunch. The loud chatters of students echoed in the air,but above all i saw my group of weirdo friends throwing and pointing grapes to each other's mouth. I fought in to hold a smile from across my lips but their goofiness always cheers me.

The atmosphere was cool and sunny. Trees swayed from left to right at the direction of the wind outside. The sun pierced it's ray of light to my skin. I used my left arm as a protection for my face. I walked upfront when madison blocked me.

"Hey weirdo, uh where do you think you're going?"

"Um..I have a name please. It's called 'Isabella'. And i'm meeting up with jayden."

Madison scowled at me. "Sorry, well it's none of your business so move." I mentally gave myself a slap wishing i could not have said that even if she deserves it. All eyes were focused on us expecting our huge meltdown.

"How dare you speak to me like that!" Madison scoffed with a sharp tone and walked over to Jayden to sit on his lap. Jayden looked like he was living the dream.

I was surprised to see wesley seated next to Jayden. I gave wesley a little wave and he waved back. I turned to jayden who was engaged in a conversation with madison.

"Um...sorry to interrupt but jayden,could you borrow me a sec ?"

"Sure,just let me__" Madison pushed him back down. "No, you're with me."

"Could you stop being an ass for once?" I said,rolling my eyes at once.

I turned to jayden. "C'mon let's go" I said, leaving Jennifer in anger in the cafeteria.

The hallways was eerily quiet. The sound of our footsteps echoed loudly with every step we take. I felt cold chills hit me to my insides. We were both quiet which was like forever till i brought up a new topic.

"So...new kid huh?"

"Um...yeah i guess"

"Sorry for earlier back there" I let out a small nervous laugh.

"Oh, it's no sweat."

"I'm your tour guide for today. I'll be showing you around the school." I let out a loud clap. "So let's begin....shall we ?"

I showed around the classrooms,the teachers lounge,the lockers,boys room and restroom.

"The school's pretty big"Jayden mentioned.

"Yeah with more places to explore" I pressed my lips in. "You're not actually that bad after all but still a little bad" I motioned my first two fingers emphasizing on how little it is.

Jayden chuckled and hit me by my elbow playfully.

"Ouch! You've bruised my elbow badly" I rubbed on my elbow pretending it hurts.

Jayden didn't seem fazed by it. Instead of pitying me,he chuckled. "Chill out,dude. It's just a small hit"

"Yeah...it still hurts. " I rolled my eyes at him and let out a smile. " I'm not your 'dude' " I talked in a masculine tone.

Jayden pouted, showing a cute little puppy face. How could someone resist a puppy face ? There's no freaking chance i could not say no that face. I tried to hide my laugh from it but it was easily noticeable.

"We're cool now,i assume. I knew you could not resist my face." He joined in, laughing with me.

There was awkward silence between us for few seconds. Jayden decided to speak up first,breaking the silence.

"Can i ask you something?" He raised his index finger like a child asking for permission from his parents.

My smile faded instantly. I was feeling intimidated that was he already thinking of asking me out ? How is this possible ? Does he have a crush on me ? I know deep down my heart i have a crush on him. Just look at his face,the lips and the muscles. His muscles feel big underneath his sweater.
