Bora found herself waking up in Gahyun's patient room once again. She spent a lot of time here, especially now that she was waiting for her sister to wake up. Two days passed after what happened, and even though Siyeon said that it was only normal for her not to wake up at least for a few days, Bora still felt very uneasy.

Considering Gahyun was always a ball of energy, seeing her in the bed like this was hard. It felt like she had already lost her in one way or another. This was for Gahyun's safety of course, but... still. Moments like these made her aware of how severe this situation actually was. How big the risk of losing her was.

Though she knew there was no time for giving up. They have been fighting this for years, and Gahyun has come so far. She's going to be in college soon, and she will be strong this time, too.

Bora stood up from the chair, stretching her body for a bit since her muscles felt a bit sore from spending the night in a sitting position. She tidied up her belongings and decided to do the same for Gahyun's stuff, but of course, everything was in order, her books piled up perfectly on one another. She smiled to herself, noting to get her sister more books next time.

When she was done 'cleaning' she sat down again with a heavy sigh, hating to just sit here. She was an active person who needed to move and she knew her boss would be a bit disappointed at how little she checked in for work. But she couldn't bring herself to not be here when Gahyun would eventually wake up. Luckily, Seungyeon was there to take her place.

Mentioning Seungyeon, she couldn't help but remember that night she hung out with Siyeon. Surprisingly, that woman wasn't too emotionally unavailable as she thought those first times they met. She was so caring, in her own way. It was true that she didn't share about her past as much as Bora did, but now the latter could see that there was much more behind the surgeon's personality.

After some time of just being on her phone, Bora heard a shuffle coming from Gahyun's bed, quickly throwing her gaze towards it and gasping when she saw her eyes open, looking around a bit hazily.

After laying still in a bed for days after her attack, basically having been dead for a few seconds, Gahyun felt... absent. As if her body wasn't fully functioning and needed to reset. She made an attempt to sit up but was quickly held back by Bora.

"Hey, hey, easy," Bora said, softly pulling her back to the pillow. "You have been unconscious for two days, you need to rest, baby"

"W-what?" Her throat felt really dry, having some difficulty to actually speak.

Bora sighed, not realizing she was holding her breath. Gahyun probably had no idea what exactly happened, and she was not sure how to explain everything, but she decided to tell her shortly, not to panic her. "Listen, you... Your heart stopped for a moment, but doctors were quick to help you, and now you're- you're fine"

Fine? Was this what she called fine? This was the worst thing that had ever happened, meaning that her condition was only worsening. What if it happened again and the doctors wouldn't be on time?

The younger sister stayed silent, slowly dropping her head on the bed. And without even realizing it, a few tears rolled down her cheek.

"Oh, Gahyun..." Bora leaned even closer, taking her sister in her arms, hating every second of seeing her like this. She didn't tell her not to cry, because both of them knew it was okay to do so, but Bora still felt the need to calm the younger one down. "I know what you're thinking right now, but- everything is going to be okay. Doctors will make sure of it. D-Doctor Siyeon will make sure of it"

"How... can you know of that?" The girl dried her tears, not liking to cry in front of her sister. She was supposed to be her little sunshine. "Have you heard anything about the operation? About a compatible heart?"
