Now that the Christmas period was over and a new year started, Gahyun was on a new step of her life as well. She managed to get in the university she wanted with almost perfect scores, finished all the exams without too much stress, and now all of her attention was towards the first day of her classes.

It was making her feel fidgety, of course, she wasn't the biggest fan of big changes. The last few years of her life, she was fully connected to the hospital, not being able to get to know new friends, or get social like that. She hasn't even officially gone to high school because of the health problems. But now that the operation was successfully done, and that she got in law school, everything seemed to feel so different.

Entering the building, her eyes instantly focused on the other students.

For some people, this huge amount of students would be intimidating or stress-inducing. But for Gahyun, who was always a social butterfly before her disease, it was exciting. Each one of those people had their own story and knowledge and if you talked to a lot of them, you got to know a lot of new stuff as well.

The only thing she needed to remember was to not get too busy immediately, Siyeon had suggested she should take it easy for the first week and see how she felt.

She looked down at the list of her classes and started to search for the first classroom that she had to attend. It was actually not that confusing, fortunately for her, since she was able to find it in just a matter of minutes.

The campus inside looked really chic, she couldn't wait to discover more areas inside the building. Now, she tried to focus on the first upcoming class.

Having read a lot of books on law subjects, she couldn't wait to finally hear a professor talk about it. Of course most classes today would be introductory classes which usually didn't immediately dive into any subjects but just showed how the classes would be for this semester and what form the exam would have. What Gahyun had noticed, and was excited about, was that one of the professors was the author of a book she read and really liked.

The class was immediately filled with students, and Gahyun realized everyone else might be as interested as her. It wasn't like high school, when only she was paying attention, but that was expected. It's difficult to get in here, if you managed to do that, obviously you are interested in what the school has to offer.

She took an empty seat and got her book and notebook out. The one Siyeon gifted her.

Surprisingly almost every seat had someone in it after a bit of time passed. A typical sight for the first day, knowing that by next week that amount would probably be reduced to half already. For Gahyun attending wasn't just a matter of actually grasping the lesson better, but the social aspect wasn't something she would want to miss. Plus, time outside of home where Siyeon and Bora were being all over each other would be refreshing, too.

And Yoohyeon. That girl has been giving excuses to not go out, or meet up, and she had sounded moody and just... not herself. Gahyun first thought it was her who did something wrong, but then she realized there had to be something deeper going on there as well. She can't have a headache about that at this moment, but she surely will try to get a hold of the girl again. She might need a friend.

The class finally started and the professor started explaining about himself and his class. Everyone got quiet instantly and all the eyes were towards the man now.

Whereas everyone else just listened and didn't note anything down, Gahyun was one of the only ones that wrote his literature recommendations down. Some people liked to call her a nerd and in the sense of reading a lot and studying hard, she couldn't really say she wasn't one.

The professor seemed to like talking about a bunch of different topics, shifting from one to another swiftly without taking any breaks. Gahyun actually had some difficulty in wrapping her mind around everything he was saying, since it wasn't connected to only one subject. But after the half time of the class was already up, she managed to get a hold of it.
