The morning shift was not so busy today. Siyeon was actually a little early to arrive at the hospital, so before she changed into her doctor's outfit, she made her way to the chief's office, thinking that she would at least entertain herself before the start of the work, and Minji was always there earlier than her anyway.

With the hope that the woman would have some spare time for her, she knocked on the office door and entered with a small smile.

Looking up from her desk, wondering who would dare come in without waiting for an answer, the chief couldn't help but smile when her eyes landed on Siyeon. The surgeon really was starting to open up more and more. "Good morning, Siyeon" her voice didn't hide her surprise, taking her glasses off. Those were new.

"Morning, Chief" Siyeon said in a light joking tone, making her way to the seat in front of Minji. "Those look good on you, by the way," She pointed towards the glasses, "Makes you sexier"

Once again Minji was surprised, chuckling at the comment. "Thank you. My sight hasn't been getting better." She sighed. "Anyway, what brings you here this early?"

The blonde woman shrugged, "Couldn't really sleep. I hope I'm not interrupting your work?"

Siyeon genuinely wasn't able to stay longer in bed, having woken up along with the sun coming up, and the thoughts of the talk from yesterday soon followed, too, making her bothered enough that she couldn't fall back to sleep.

The chief shook her head with a gentle smile, pointing at the chair. "I'm glad to have some company this early" Or at all really. "Coffee?"

Siyeon nodded her head, not having drank it, yet.

She honestly knew that coming here the first thing in the morning had its reasons somewhere deep in her mind, maybe wanting the validation Minji's presence brought every time, or just not wanting to be alone, but she was glad she had someone like this that she trusted again, after everything.

One of the biggest advantages of being the chief of the hospital was having her own personal coffee machine in her office which was also of better quality than the coffee the employees could get.

Minji quickly got a cup and prepared a coffee, turning around to Siyeon while waiting for it to be done. "Anything new happened recently?" With how some of their previous talks went, it would be obvious this wasn't just a professional question.

Siyeon paused at the question, thinking about what words to choose to answer. When Minji sensed her hesitation, she turned to face her again, but before she would be able to take back her question, the blonde nodded her head. "I guess you could say so, yeah"

Now that the coffee was ready, Minji put it in front of Siyeon and sat down. "Go on." She invited her to fill her in.

Siyeon reached for the coffee first, taking a rather large sip and after almost burning her mouth, she cleared her throat, looking up at Minji again. "I went on a date with Bora very recently," She said simply, with a follow of a little shrug of her shoulders and a small smile.

"You finally did huh?" The topic of Bora had come up a few times, but there was never anything concrete. What made Minji feel a little happier was that Siyeon came here to talk about it on her own volition. "And?"

"It went... very well" She sighed, "More than just well, actually"

She knew that Minji had the information about her past, Minji was actually the only one she talked to about it, even if it was really briefly.

Because her answer was accompanied by a sigh, the chief knew that something was up. If a date went well, you were supposed to be happy about it. "But...?" Hoping Siyeon would trust her enough to explain what was up.
