"Are you ready for your first race weekend as my PR assistant?" I nudged Kelcey, she looked nervous, which was completely normal.

I definitely was gonna make it easy for her this weekend.

"I think so, I'm nervous though" she chuckled a little. "Everything will be fine, I will not run away this weekend"

"This weekend? So you run away normally?"

I shrugged my shoulders and laughed. She didn't have to know that I normally actually do that.

We walked in the hospitality together and for once I was excited. We had a new bartender in de paddock club, the prettiest one of all.

Frankie accepted Zak's offer. I guess he was pretty convincing, the money probably was another thing that was convincing enough.

Zak told me she took the job earlier this week, I couldn't describe how happy I felt when he told me she accepted the job.

This was her test weekend but I knew she was gonna do great, hopefully she would like it too.
She didn't completely quit her other job in Monaco yet, that's what Jess told me.

Oscar showed her around, even though she already knew her way around the hospitality and paddock club.

So I did my interviews, and all the media stuff because I didn't want to come over too eager.

Even though I was so desperate to see her.

I held it in until we were done with the interviews.

"You did amazing" I looked at Kelcey, who was as red as the Ferrari hospitality.
Fair enough, it was hot as fuck here in Singapore, but she was also pretty nervous.

"Thanks" she smiled.

"I think we need to celebrate your first day, by having a little drink" I suggested. She raised her eyebrow with a smile. "Sure, you want to visit your girl?"

"She isn't my girl" I said. "Not anymore"

"Oh okay, but you're still friends?" She asked as we walked in the hospitality again. "I mean, we try" I shrugged.

We texted from time to time, but not that much anymore. Not since she started dating Jordan.

We walked to the paddock club, and there she was.

Leaning against the bar, staring in front of her. Thursdays were always a calm day for the paddock club, so she had not much to do.

Her hair was lighter, her skin a bit darker.

And then she turned her head and looked me straight in the eyes.
She was so unbelievably beautiful.

"Hi Kelcey, hi Lando" she smiled at the both of us. "Do you want a drink?"

"Yes, but I need to go to the restroom first" Kelcey said as she turned back around and winked at me.

She definitely didn't need to use the restroom, she just wanted to give us privacy.

"A Coke please" I said as I walked to the bar.

She nodded, grabbed a can and put it on the bar. "I bet you don't want a glass?"

"No thanks" I smiled. "How is your first day going?"

"Pretty good, very quiet" she smiled a little. Not how she used to smile.

She used to have the prettiest smile, the cutest laugh.

"Yeah it's always quiet on Thursdays"

"Yeah so it seems" she mumbled. "Excuse me" she said as she turned to someone else.

I looked at her while she was preparing his drink. There was something different about her.

Don't know what.

She was also wearing long sleeves. Was she crazy or something? It was so hot and humid here.
Even I was wearing a shirt.

"Are you okay?" I asked as she turned back to me.

She nodded. "Yeah, why?"

"You're wearing long sleeves?" She was never wearing long sleeves, not in the club, not when we hung out in private.

"Yeah" she shrugged. Turned her head away from me.

"You wanna hang out tonight?" I asked. I had to change subjects because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

"Not really" she answered.

"Okay" I said, grabbed my can of Coke. "I will see you tomorrow then"

She just nodded and waved.

This wasn't gonna be easy.
