A shadow had befallen amidst the rejoice of chaos. It drew long, twisting itself to reach out to nooks and crannies in hopes of snuffing it out.

It was stifling.

Taehyung.. despaired.

He listlessly stared at the ceramic fountain erected in the garden.

Shapes didn't distort or move as much as it did before, everything seemingly falling into its rightful place.

It has been days.. Taehyung thinks to himself.

The fountain hasn't changed.

Has it been a month ?

Taehyung can't remember.

He felt like he has been trapped in his confinement for an eternity. Time stretched continuously- on and on, never cutting ties with him.

Unfortunate.

Tiring.

Taehyung catches the last wilted orchid on the bare shrub disintegrate, leaving behind rows of barren dry land, as if early winter had made home- it's deceiving beauty of oranges and reds from before sapped away.

There is a pang in his chest that has been hard to rid himself off.

Every time he thought about it- it felt like somebody was digging a knife in his heart.

Taehyung cannot decide what hurt him more.

Was it his body traitorously giving into pleasure of coercion or was it falling for a stupid lie- that somebody- that Jungkook... of all could possibly... love him.

It was cruel.

Far too cruel than when the Devil robbed him of his consent. It was incredibly humiliating.

Shameful.

Shameful that he'd been hopeful of the man who had brutalised him in every possible way would regain his memory- that he'd regain some semblance of sanity- that he would forgive him just as easily, leaping to embrace him.

Taehyung was beyond distraught.

All while he was rejoicing- the Devil had smiled wickedly behind his back and he had never realised.

Talking him up in ways, the Jungkook he knew used to- touching him in ways, the Jungkook he knew used to-

It was agonising.
