"Absolutely ridiculous!" Lt. Mingyu bellowed, slamming his hands against the table and startling everyone present in the conference.
"Not only we aren't able to find the leads to either of the two cases- we even have the damned criminal dropping off bombs right under our noses now!" He barked, clearly angered and humiliated.
"Have we, Seoul Police Department fallen off that low to accommodate such mistakes on our part?!"
Silence echoed back and forth, amidst the hushed breaths of the officers present, who averted their gazes from the Lieutenant, in slight fear.
"I will not take another excuse from any of you. I dont want any of you sitting and leisurely sipping tea in my department. Run if you want, break your backs, do whatever the hell you can to afford to have the answers on my table. If the criminal is out there trying to publicize their stunts and cause panic among the citizens, you best better know where this situation is leading to." Lt. Mingyu glowered lowly, his eyes piercing through each one of their souls, making them gulp and nod in response.
"This meeting is dispersed" He curtly concluded, walking out of the conference ahead of everyone.
The small crowd let out a sigh and scattered quickly.
"Thought I was gonna die under Lieutenant's gaze" Jennie whispered, her lips tugged downwards.
"Mmhmm" Jihyo hummed, admitting to the other female officer.
"This is the first time I stepped in place of Johnny, cant believe he has to go through this absolute horrendous torture everytime. I almost feel bad for him now" Jennie clicked her tongue, letting her silky hair down and then tying it up into a bun again.
"Lieutenant's scary when he is pissed" Jihyo replied solemnly, walking beside Jennie.
"Yep... god this is such a disaster-" Jennie sighed then suddenly looked up "oh- Jihyo, what about Detective Kim? Is he alright? I heard he was injured"
"Ah.. He hit his head and bleed a little, luckily he's fine. He even went straight to the site without staggering, you can say he's invincible like that" Jihyo chuckled dryly, but the tinge of worry on her tone wasn't unnoticeable.
"Thank God" Jennie let out a sigh of relief "and the other guy- Jeon? Detective Kim's partner?"
Jihyo smiled "oh he's fine too. I have to admit, he's a huge flirt but he's got some mad courage. Running away with the bomb like that- thank heavens it turned out to be some sick prank by the criminal and not an actual lethal bomb"
Jennie hummed in response, frowning a little "I wonder if Detective Kim is really alright... someone sent the package to his name, it's almost as if the criminal is playing with him... I really cant imagine what Detective Kim must be feeling right now. He's been working the hardest on this case..."
Jihyo smiled sadly "you're right... nobody knows what he must be feeling right now and he wouldnt even show it, if he indeed is feeling distressed but we can only hope he is fine"
"Yes, I hope so too" Jennie mumbled, looking down.
Jihyo smiled looking at the other and teasingly nudged her "Jennie-ah, you've got feelings for Detective Kim, dont you? Mm? Do you really like him that much?"
