___________________________________Light descents, casting ripples of illusion in the underwater current. The water glows muted blue, its reach caressing the sole light in the sea devoid of any other life forms.
The blazing source of light overhead does not move, blazing red and orange.
Its presence daunting and imposing, in the confines of his mind where he remains sunken, staring up with no moments of reprieve.
His skin ice cold to touch, his heart even heavier— anchoring him to the beds.
The light cannot reach out to him.
Its desperate attempts to grapple through the water that laid in between were nothing but mere attempts with no fruition.
Chained to the ground, Taehyung can only dream of things like what-it-would-have-been's to escape his cold prison.
He dreams of his colleagues, of his friends. He dreams of going out for drinks and barbecue with them.
He dreams of times that has happened and those never before.
He thinks about Hoseok, he envisions his wedding for some reason— Taehyung is there, as his best man on the altar, reassuring him and handing out his handkerchief when the man bursts into tears watching his bride walk down the aisle.
Taehyung chuckles a little at that patting his best friend's back. Its endearing.
He thinks about the old couple next door. He has to empty out their trash and then return the hotpot and kimchi containers the older lady gave him the other day. He pauses and thinks some more— he should bring them something for Chuseok...
He sighs, eyes downturned.
Taehyung thinks of Jihyo for a bit... he wants to know why she did what she did. She certainly seemed sick... he thinks of taking her to the hospital- afterall the woman, just like him puts off with illness until it gets to a worser stage. He needs to talk her out of that bad habit they share.
He then thinks about his little two bedroom apartment. There's not many trinkets he treasures, or things of value to his name that are stuffed in. Regardless, he thinks of a reality where his home's bustling with trinkets of worth. Things of shameless spending, that Taehyung would likely nag about but that wouldn't thwart Hyunwoo, whose eyes are drawn to shiny things like the planets to the sun.
