Chapter 1
Jimin
The hallways of the university were bustling with students, laughter, and chatter echoing off the walls. It was the same every morning—people rushing to classes, stuffing books into their lockers, or hanging out in their usual groups. But I wasn’t paying attention to any of them.
My eyes searched for one person.
The only one who mattered to me.
And then, I saw him.
Min Yoongi.
My husband.
A small smile tugged at my lips as I quickened my steps, my heart beating just a little faster.
"Good morning, Hyung!" I called out, my voice warm, full of affection.
Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around him from behind, resting my cheek against his back. It wasn’t much, just a simple hug—but it was my way of holding onto the one person I cherished the most.
But before I could even register the warmth of his presence, he stepped away.
"What is this, Park Jimin?" His voice was sharp, filled with irritation.
I blinked, confused. "I just—"
"Didn’t I tell you?" He cut me off, turning to face me with a cold glare. "This behavior is only for when we’re with our parents. Here at college, we’re just a junior and a senior—nothing more. Don’t act like this in front of everyone. I don’t like it. And in reality, we are nothing. You are just a stranger to me."
My heart sank. The excitement I had felt just moments ago faded into a dull ache. His words pressed down on my chest, heavy and suffocating.
"I’m sorry, Hyung. I didn’t mean to—"
"Sorry, my foot!" His voice was sharper now, filled with annoyance. "If you don’t remember this next time, I’ll give you a serious punishment. Who gave you permission to hug me like that?"
I stared at him, the sting of his words sinking deep. My fingers curled slightly at my sides, my mind racing to understand why he was like this.
Why did he treat me this way?
When all I ever wanted was to love him?
Before I could find my voice again, another voice interrupted.
"Hyung, come on. Stop scolding Jimin!"
I turned to see Taehyung standing nearby, arms crossed, his sharp gaze fixed on Yoongi. I knew that look—he was upset.
"Why are you being so harsh, Hyung?" Taehyung asked as he stepped forward.
"Yeah, Hyung," another familiar voice added. Jungkook joined us, his brows furrowed in frustration. "Why do you always treat Jimin like this? He doesn’t deserve it."
I shook my head quickly, stepping between them. I didn’t want this to turn into an argument. "No, it’s my fault," I said, my voice shaking. "I shouldn’t have done that without asking. I’m sorry, Hyung."
