Chapter 25
Yoongi
It had been one week since Taehyung and Jungkook visited, and life felt soft-like a warm blanket.
Jimin and I had fallen into a gentle routine since our exam is near. We studied together, ate together, laughed at the silliest things. Every morning, I'd wake up with him in my arms, sometimes his sleepy voice mumbling, "Five more minutes." And every time, I let him have ten.
He'd pout over difficult chapters, then beam when he got answers right. Sometimes I kissed his cheek as a reward. Sometimes he demanded two.
"I'm working so hard, hyung. You better treat me well," he'd tease, eyes sparkling.
And I did. I couldn't help it. I found myself hugging him more, holding his hand longer, brushing his hair from his face even when he was just reading.
Maybe I was being extra sweet.
Maybe... he noticed.
But he never asked why. He just smiled, leaned into me, and whispered, "I love this."
And so did I.
I had something special planned. But I wasn't ready to tell him yet.
I just wanted to enjoy this peace for a little longer-with him in my arms, safe, smiling.
Just... us.
For the past two days, I'd been sneaking around like a teenager with a crush.
Late-night calls in the kitchen, secret texts under the blanket, locking my phone like it held national secrets.
Because it did. Well... not national, but definitely Jimin-level important.
I was planning a surprise date for him. Something special. He deserved the world-and I wanted to give him just a piece of it.
But hiding it from him?
Impossible.
Jimin had the eyes of a detective and the curiosity of a cat.
"Who are you texting, huh?" he asked one evening, trying to peek over my shoulder.
"Pizza delivery guy," I deadpanned.
"At 11 PM?" he squinted.
"Midnight cravings," I said.
He narrowed his eyes. "Suspicious."
Another time, he "accidentally" dropped my phone off the bed, then pretended to be shocked when the screen lit up with a name he didn't know.
"Oh no! It opened by itself!" he gasped.
I just smirked. "You're a terrible liar."
He huffed. "You're hiding something."
"I am," I admitted, pulling him closer. "But it's something that'll make you smile."
That shut him up-for now. But I knew he wouldn't stop trying.
Still, he didn't push. He trusted me.
And that made me love him even more.
Soon, baby. Just a little longer.
It was finally time.
I looked at Jimin, who was curled up on the couch in his bunny hoodie, reading notes with a little pout. My heart melted. But I had to act cool.
