"NO, I WON’T DO THIS MARRIAGE!"

I slammed my fist on the table, making the plates and glasses shake violently. My patience had finally snapped.

"MIN YOONGI, behave yourself!" My father’s voice boomed through the room.

I clenched my jaw, my hands balling into fists. My whole body was trembling with rage, but the worst part? No one cared.

"And you are going to marry him, and that’s final." His words felt like a slap to my face.

My breath hitched.

"Dad, please, I don’t want to marry him! Please, Dad!" I tried to reason, my voice almost desperate.

"Yes, please, Appa! I also don’t want to marry Hyung! Please!"

I turned my head toward Jimin, who was also pleading, his voice shaking. For the first time, we were on the same side.

But it didn’t matter.

"No, Jimin, it’s final. You both have to get married to each other." His father’s voice was cold, absolute.

I felt like the air was knocked out of my lungs.

"I WON’T DO THIS MARRIAGE!" I shouted again, standing up so fast that the chair screeched against the floor.

That’s when my father spoke the words that shattered everything.

"Enough, Yoongi. You have to marry Jimin, or else you’re not going to get any of the properties."

I froze.

Properties?

Was that all I was worth to them?

I let out a bitter laugh, shaking my head. "I don’t want your properties, Dad. I want peace." I said, glaring at Jimin.

He flinched.

But I didn’t care. I didn’t care about anything anymore.

That was until my mother’s next words hit me like a truck.

"And you have to break all the relationships between you and us."

My head snapped up, my heart stopping for a second.

"Mom?!" My voice cracked, desperation creeping in.

My mother, the only person I thought would understand me, looked me straight in the eyes with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I am not your mom."

Something inside me broke.
