Chapter 27
Yoongi
The glass doors of the mall slid open, releasing a burst of cool air with the faint scent of coffee and freshly unpacked clothes.
Jimin's hand was in mine, fingers swinging lazily. His steps were quick, almost bouncing.
Taehyung's laugh hit us before we even saw him. He was by the entrance with Jungkook-Jungkook in ripped jeans and a plain white tee, Taehyung in... well, whatever "royal peacock" concept he was going for today.
"Finally!" Taehyung's grin stretched wide when Jimin dropped my hand to hug him. "We thought you got lost."
"We weren't lost," Jimin pouted. "Hyung just walks too slow."
"I walk normally," I said. "You walk like you're late to a free dessert buffet."
Taehyung snorted, Jungkook chuckled. "Accurate."
Jimin's fingers slid back into mine and tugged. "Let's go. Time's wasting."
Before I could answer, he and Taehyung were already darting into a clothing store like it was the finish line.
Jungkook sighed beside me. "Think they'll leave anything untried?"
"Doubt it."
Inside, Jimin was holding up a powder-blue jacket against his chest, showing it to Taehyung like they were hosts of a fashion show.
"This would look amazing on you, hyung!" He turned and shoved it into my arms without waiting for an answer. "Try it."
"Didn't we come for their wedding shopping?" I asked.
Jimin waved that off. "You should look good too. Now try it."
Behind him, Taehyung was pressing a frilled white shirt into Jungkook's reluctant hands.
Within minutes, my arms were full-jackets, shirts, one pair of shiny black pants that were definitely not leaving this store on my body.
"Hold still," Jimin ordered, stepping closer with a beige blazer. He set it on my shoulders, adjusting it. His fingertips brushed my neck. His lips curled. "This one makes you look expensive."
"I am expensive."
"And mine," he said under his breath.
I didn't even have time to react-
"Yah, Yoongi-hyung!" Taehyung called. "Does he always boss you around like this?"
"Yes," Jimin replied immediately. "Because he can't dress himself."
"I can dress myself," I said.
"Yeah. In hoodies. Me is better."
Taehyung gagged. Jungkook muttered something about us being worse than them.
Then Jimin was gone again, weaving between racks, snatching clothes like a man on a mission. He returned with a black turtleneck, holding it up to my chest, eyes scanning critically.
"Perfect. This, with that blazer, and... wait." He darted off again.
I stood there, arms full, watching him pile more into my load. "Are we buying the whole store?"
"Shh. Fashion magic in progress."
When I tried to put something back, he grabbed my wrist. "No. This one's non-negotiable. You'll thank me later."
Taehyung's voice floated over. "You two planning a secret runway show?"
"Maybe," Jimin said, smirking at me. "But only I get the front-row seat."
