Chapter 8
Yoongi

"JIMIN!!"

Tears spilled from my eyes as I scrambled to my feet, my heart hammering in my chest.

Jimin lay motionless on the asphalt, blood pooling beneath his head. His small frame looked so fragile, so lifeless.

"No, no, no—"

Hearing my desperate cries, the watchmen from the main gate and the gateman from the building’s entrance ran toward us. Their hurried footsteps barely registered in my mind. All I could see was Jimin.

I dropped to my knees beside him, my hands trembling as I lifted his head onto my lap. His skin was chillingly cold.

"Hey... Jimin… wake up. Please, baby, open your eyes." My voice cracked as I gently patted his pale cheeks.

No response.

"Jimin, please... don’t do this to me. You have to wake up!" My sobs came out broken, each word choked by the lump in my throat.

More blood seeped into the cracks of the pavement. My fingers, shaking uncontrollably, brushed over his messy, blood-stained hair.

"Sir, we need to get Jimin Sir to the hospital!" the gateman urged, his voice urgent.

"Yes, sir. You should go, I’ll inform Mr. Park." The watchman added quickly.

I barely processed their words, but I nodded, swallowing my sobs as I carefully lifted Jimin into my arms. His body was limp against me.

"No, no, no… please don’t leave me."

I carried him in a bridal style, rushing toward the car. The driver, who had been waiting nearby, immediately opened the door. I climbed into the backseat, gently laying Jimin down before sliding in beside him. I cradled his head on my lap, stroking his hair as the driver started the car.

The gateman took the front seat while the driver sped toward the hospital.

I clutched Jimin’s hand tightly, pressing his cold fingers against my lips. My tears wouldn’t stop falling.

"Why, Jimin? sob Why did you do that, huh?" My voice was barely above a whisper. "Why did you risk your life... for a fool like me?" A hiccup shook my body. "Why, Jimin? Why?"

I had cried for him once before. But this time… this time, I knew—

If something happened to him, I wouldn’t survive it.

---

Half an hour later, We reached the hospital, and without wasting a second, I jumped out of the car, carrying Jimin in my arms. His body felt so light… too light.

I ran inside, my heart pounding in my chest.

“DOCTOR!! DOCTOR!!”

I screamed at the top of my lungs, my voice echoing through the hospital corridors.

A nurse rushed toward me. "Sir, what happened?" she asked urgently.

I felt my blood boil. Could she not see what was happening? Could she not see the blood soaking Jimin’s clothes?

“Can’t you see?! He’s hurt!” I snapped at her, my desperation spilling over.

"Sir, please calm down. Jimin Sir is not well." The gateman stepped in, trying to explain. "Excuse me, Ma’am. Jimin Sir was in an accident—he suffered a head injury. Please call the doctor immediately. He needs treatment now!"
