Chapter 6
Yoongi

Yoongi’s POV

The morning light was harsh against my eyelids, forcing me awake earlier than I wanted. My body ached, and my head throbbed, reminding me of the fever that had settled into my bones. I blinked blearily at the clock—9:00 AM. A sudden jolt of panic shot through me. College. I had completely overslept. My schedule flashed in my mind, all the things I was supposed to do today.

But then, reality sank in. Today wasn’t just any other day. Today, nothing else mattered.

Jimin.

His tear-streaked face from last night haunted me. His sobs, his broken voice—I had done that to him. I had hurt him beyond repair. My chest tightened painfully as guilt clawed at me.

No. I couldn’t leave him alone today.

I forced myself to sit up, but as soon as I did, a wave of dizziness hit me. My vision swayed, and I clutched the side of the bed to steady myself. My stomach churned uncomfortably, and a deep ache settled in my limbs. That’s when I realized—I hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday. I had been too consumed by everything else to take care of myself.

With a groan, I pressed a hand against my forehead, feeling the heat radiating from my skin. Fever. Of course. Because things just had to get worse.

Still, I couldn’t let this stop me. Jimin needed me.

Pushing through the nausea, I dragged myself to the bathroom, letting the hot water from the shower soothe me. It helped, but the weakness in my body remained. After quickly drying off, I grabbed the medicine I had left on the counter from last night and swallowed it down with some water, hoping it would be enough to get me through the day.

I needed to make sure Jimin was okay.

With slow, careful steps, I made my way downstairs, heading to the kitchen. My hands trembled slightly as I opened the refrigerator, pulling out the ingredients I needed. I boiled some milk first, knowing my empty stomach wouldn't handle much else, then forced myself to drink it. The warmth helped a little, but my body still felt sluggish.
