Chapter 35

"DELI PIT STOP."

It was currently the weekend and M/n was hungry so he decided to get something to eat, But of course not alone. Peter B had a mission last minute and couldn't take care of Mayday so he intrusted M/n to take care of her.

You may be asking yourself:
'Well why doesn't Mj take care of Mayday?'
And there's a good reason for that. She's currently sick and bed ridden and didn't want the possibility of Mayday getting sick because of her. Peter B promised her he would rush there as soon as he was done with his mission and take care of her.

That was 4 hours ago and he's still not back. So M/n decided the only right thing to do is to get some food to clear up his mind. Ever since the whole kidnapping and fighting The Avenjerks, Miguel has kept a very close eye on M/n but that didn't stop from convincing him to go out. Under the condition that he wore a tracker and disguise. Of course couldn't loose the opportunity and took it, but at the same time remembered he had school so the disguise was just an outside of school sort of thing.

(You can choose what sort of disguise it will look like!)

As M/n entered the Deli grocery store he looked around with Mayday attached to her carrier and got some snacks before deciding to order something from the menu up at front. He stood a bit to the corner so he wouldn't disturb people from going in front of him so he took his time deciding what he wanted. After a bit he decided to order the f/s (favorite sandwich) and a drink. Maybe f/d
(favorite drink).

He was about to step forward but his spider senses started acting up making him back up and look around. His eyes glanced at the figure that had just entered the store; Peter.

He gulped slightly and reassured himself that Peter wouldn't recognize him as long as he was in his disguise. He went up to the counter to pay for his things and order his food.

"What can i get you?" Mr. Delmar, as M/n remembered asked him. "Uh, can i get a f/s and a f/d please?" M/n asked slightly altering his voice which made Mayday look at him weirdly.

And i know what you're going to ask:
'But isn't Peter going to recognize Mayday since the last time M/n was with her?'
Correct, which is why she's also in disguise!
Ginger hair, nope. Instead, she now has a brow curly wig on, though she still has her beautiful blue eyes. Though only a slight change in her appearance, There's only one person that needs to not recognize her.

Mr. Delmar nodded and scanned M/n's items and added the food and drink items M/n had ordered all together and came out a total of $30 dollars so it wouldn't be that much with the amount of snacks he had grabbed for him and Mayday, and also Miguel.

He payed for everything and stood off to the side and waited for his sandwich to be done so he could get out of there as soon as possible so Peter wouldn't be suspicious and find out it was him. He'd been ignoring Peter in school and hiding outside of school for a few reasons. One of them being that he got stood up, another is that Peter didn't even text him to say he was going to be late or didn't say he couldn't go since if he did M/n would understand but not to text him or call him at all. And mostly because he hadn't even apologized or even seemed to care for a few weeks, until he had remembered M/n figured. But that didn't change the fact that M/n knew the real reason he got stood up, and didn't like it one bit. He had been absolutely crushed amd angry with Peter, like who does that? Agreeing to go out and meet someone for presumably a date, but your 'date' goes off with another girl and leaves you waiting at a cafe for hours and hours till the point they get pitty stares from people and they leave just to see their supposed 'date' getting a kiss on the cheek from another girl.
Like yeesh it's like adding salt to the wound that was already fresh.

Meanwhile whatever was running through M/n's head, silently cursing Peter out in his head Peter was grabbing two packs of gummy worms as always and also ordering his usual sandwich.

"Hey Mr. Delmar!" Peter greeted and Mr. Delmar nodded at him. "Hey Mr. Parker? Number 5 right?" Mr. Delmar asked as Peter nodded "Uh yeah, and uh with pickles and can you smush it down real flat? Thanks." He nodded to the guy behind Mr. Delmar. "You got it boss." The man said and left to go make Peter's sandwich. Peter looked around seeing costumers coming inside and out of the Deli and his eyes shifted towards the guy with a child in a carried AKA, M/n.

He squinted at him but turned his head so he didn't look like he was watching him even though he was.
He somehow felt, familiar. He didn't know why but he did. He felt his Spider senses tingle slightly but not a lot meaning this guy wasn't a threat.

"Ey, your sandwich is done!" The guy called out to M/n making him look up and walked over to the counter and grabbed the sandwich, thanking the man before turning and made eye contact with Peter for just a moment before quickly leaving the store.

'What in the K-drama was that?' M/n asked himself and kept walking far from the Deli, and far, far away from Peter. He took out Mayday's favorite snack and opened it for her to which she grinned and took the snack and started munching on it happily making M/n smile. Mayday was so cute when she was eating, sure she was messy,clumsy and always getting into trouble but she was a good kid. Sometimes she'd hide away from Peter B for hours only to be found hiding out with M/n watching movies and binge eating sweets. And Peter B worded out her worries to him that she might get cavities because of all the candies M/n gives her so he limited the amount of sugar she was consuming. But that never stopped M/n from sneakily giving sweets here and there but never too much cause he didn't want to get caught.

He felt his watch buzz on his wrist so he quickly went into an alley and pulled up his sleeve and it immediately portrayed a screen showing Peter infront of a portal.

"Hey M/n! I just got done with my mission so I'm heading home to go see Mj, mind if you drop Mayday off?" Peter said tiredly and i nodded "Sure, I don't mind. I'll be there soon." M/n replied and the screen disappeared and M/n pulled his sleeve back up and went further in the alley and made a portal back to Peter B's dimension. He rubbed Mayday's hair and smiled at seeing her still munching on her snacks. "Off we go." M/n whispered and went into the portal as it closed behind him.
