Exactly TWO WEEKS until the final chapter of this story is posted. I can't believe how far it's come and how many people have enjoyed this story. Thank you to every one that's stuck with all the craziness of this story. I promise it's gonna get better from here.

When I woke up the next morning, Hayley was still sitting up, with her laptop on. She was fast asleep, though. I got up, and walked around to her side. I took the computer off her lap, and closed it. I moved it over to the floor, and went to the kitchen.

I attempted to look for the ingredients for pancakes. I had no idea where she kept anything. I managed to find a pan and some chocolate chips. I needed to find a little bit more.

I managed to find everything eventually, and started to cook. Chocolate chip pancakes for the bride and groom. It seemed like a good idea, except I made way too much. I made enough for both our bands to have brunch, and it was just the two of us. Correction: It was just me.

I ate a couple, but put the rest in the fridge. I was starting to get nervous again. Hayley's surgery was already tomorrow. She was obviously freaking out, too, 'cause she stayed up all night researching. I started to think about our relationship again. My mind wandered to when we first said 'I love you.'

"Fells Point," I said with a big smile. I took Hayley's hand again, and we looked out over the water. Baltimore was truly beautiful that night, and it was probably because she was there. "Come on, there's a beachy area over here."

We went down by the water, and took our shoes off. The sand was warm, even though nothing else was. With the cold water between our toes, we ran down the beach. I chased her around, leaving our footprints all around.

Hayley made a quick u-turn and we were on the warm sand. I managed to reach out, and catch her. I caught the very end of her shirt, and she slowed. She turned around, and I didn't let go of her shirt. She placed her hands on the back of my neck, and leaned in to kiss me. Quickly, she pulled me towards her, and let herself fall back. We landed in the sand.

"It's so dark over here," she commented. The street lamps were facing away from us. It was just us and the footprints left in the sand. We were both breathing so heavy from running, and our faces were so close.

She was laying flat against the sand, with a smile on her face, and her arms around my neck. I was above her with my arms on either side of her, almost in a push-up position.

"I love you," I said quietly. I saw the words registering across her face. Her smile almost faded a little, but it got bigger. She started to sit up, and pressed her lips against mine. We shifted so we were both sitting, and as we broke apart, she rested her head on my shoulder.

"I love you, too," she said. We sat with our legs out in front of us, pointed towards the water. We watched the small waves breaking against the sand, and the lights reflecting in the distant. I couldn't have asked for a better night.

Hayley's hand moved to hold mine. I thought we might just fall asleep out here. The two of us next to each other, alone until the sun rises. But it was a cold night, and my bed was way more comfortable.

"Alex," I heard behind me. I jumped a little, and turned around. Hayley had a large sweatshirt over her t-shirt and shorts, and she stood in the doorway to the kitchen.

"Hey, sleepyhead," I said with a smile. I got up, and gave her a hug. She still looked exhausted.

"Did you make pancakes," she asked. I nodded, and went to the fridge. I pulled out the plate of chocolate chip pancakes, and showed them to her.

"Do you want some?"

"Yes please," she said. Her face brighten, and she sat down in the seat next to the one I was sitting in. I warmed up the pancakes in the microwave, and then set them on the table in front of her. I got her a fork, knife, and the syrup.

I took another pancake off the stack, and then let her have the rest. She didn't eat all of them, obviously. She was pretty nervous too, and it's hard to eat on a nervous stomach.

I went to go take a shower, and then found something to wear. I didn't really have anything too fancy, but I could get something together. Or I could just do it in jeans.

Hayley got a shower next, and I finished getting dressed. I looked through Hayley's closet to see what dresses she had. She didn't have to wear a dress, she didn't have to dress up at all. I would marry her no matter what.

Black jeans and a white dress shirt was what I was wearing. I sat out on the couch, waiting for Hayley to get ready. I knew it was going to be a while because it took me a while.

She came out of her room in his adorable black dress and tights. I stood up, and took her hand. Her heels made her a little taller. She was actually at the perfect height.

"You're gorgeous," I said. I kept looking her up and down, and she did the same with me.

"I can't believe we're doing this," she said. There was a big smile on her face, and so much excitement in her voice. I ran my thumb over her cheek, and then kissed her.

I drove us to the courthouse, and we got everything ready. And we were married. We actually did it. We ran out of there, and made out on the steps.

We went out to eat for lunch, and talked the entire time. We barely had time to eat because of how much we were talking. I'd never seen Hayley this happy. Both of us had completely forgotten about the surgery, and it was nice.

Just the two of us, married, and enjoying each other.
