3rd POV
In the hallways, Charlie was showing her father the interiors of the hotel
Charlie: So, once we have the proof that redemption is possible, this whole hotel will be full of demons wanting to check out into heaven! We just need a little time to prove it. The sharing circles haven't been working as fast as I hoped-
While Charlie was explaining everything to her father Husk called to his owner
Husk: Ey, Boss? Can I have a word?
Alastor stops walking and turns his head 180 before turning his body toward Husk.
Alastor: What is it?
Husk: You and I both know Mimzy only shows up when she needs somethin'. That bitch is trouble, and who knows what kind of demon she fucked with to come running to you this time?
Faith's POV
I walked through the hallway looking for Husk when I heard his voice
Husk: -to come running to you this time?
I quickly hid peeking my head out to see Husk and Alastor talking I was listening to their conversation when I felt a presence above me I looked up to see SC.
Faith: "I whisper to him" What are you doing here?!
SC: "He whispered back," I noticed Alastor wasn't with us anymore and followed him, what are you doing?
Faith: I was looking for Husk.
We both shrugged and continued listening to the conversation
Alastor: It's nothing I can't handle. Don't worry Husker. Who in their right mind would cross me?
Husk: I mean... you've been gone a while, and it's not like anybody knows why.
Alastor: They don't need to know, and don't you worry your fuzzy head about it.
Alastor rubs Husk on the head making him angry
Husk: "He growls" You may own my soul, But I ain't your fucking pet!
Alastor: "He chuckles" But you are! Haha!
Alastor turns back around to go back with the group
Husk: "Whispering to himself" Big talk for someone who's also on a leash.
Mine and SC's eyes widened as we heard Husk say that, Who's leash, I thought to myself. I could see and hear everything go static for a moment, ALastor's eyes had turned to radio dials and the lights flickered.
Alastor: Aha, What did you say?
Before Husk could respond a green chain was wrapped around his neck pulling him forward and onto the floor
Husk: Oh, fuck! Nothing! I, um...
Alastor slowly approaches Husk pulling on the chain
Alastor: If you ever say that again I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every other disrespectful wretch who dares to question me.
Hearing Alastor say that reminded me of what Husk had said when we got back from the overlord meeting.
Flashback
Husk: Please, he may be a gentleman but deep down there's a lot more than you would know.
