3rd POV
Faith voiceover:
Some people say that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but for me... that was only a little bit true.
An image of a baby girl pops up and holding her is a woman with black hair and brown eyes and next to her is a man with brown hair and green eyes.
I was the product of an affair between my mother and another man. My mother, Janet, was part of a cult called, The Satanists. A terrible group of people who misguided people with sacrifices, rituals, and satanic spells. My father, William, was a simple man and met my mother one day when she was allowed to go out.
(For anyone who has seen S2 E9 of Helluva Boss, remember when Stolas was summoned for a ritual in his name... yeah this is that cult)
My "Father" was the leader of this cult. A terrible man who raped, abused, and hurt people in the cult. Making the women believe they were witches and men believe they were sorcerers.
My mother didn't want me to have that life so both of my parents with a heavy heart decided to give me up for adoption never to tell anyone of that day. But she named me before I was gone.
Janet: How about we call her Fate?
William: That's perfect, darling. Because Fate brought us together and blessed us with her.
We then see a young man and woman crying as the baby gets taken by a friend into her orphanage.
This is the first chapter of my life.
Orphanage owner: Alright sweetie I'm going to take care of you till someone adopts you ok?
The baby laughs as the woman awws at her and continues feeding her at her orphanage.
Ms. Mayberry took excellent care of me for the first three years of my life. She was the closest thing I had to a mother.
(BTW this was before she became a teacher)
She was there during everything. Until I went to my first foster home, a place that will always hold terrible memories for me. I remember everything,
We then see a three-year-old Faith arriving at the foster home with the foster parents opening the door and greeting her with warm smiles and kind eyes.
But little did I know that soon I would be in a place of hostility.
We then see Faith who is four years old now and has been living with the foster family for a year, leaning her ear against a closed door trying to listen to the foster parents fighting over whether or not they should take Faith back to the orphanage. Faith starts to cry and runs off believing that they didn't love her.
The place I once believed to be a place of hope and love turned hostile and every day my foster parents were fighting but then I noticed that my foster father looking at me in a different light.
We then see multiple shots of Faith on different occasions.
At first, I thought it was all just harmless, a little bit more hugs and pats on the back, more attention, and random gift-giving. But soon it turned into something else, my foster father would sometimes walk in on my foster mom changing me saying it was an accident, or on occasions where he would tell my foster mom to take a girl's night so he could spend some alone time with me.
After that things started becoming worse the touches would become more physical and intimate and he would tell me not to tell anyone about our "special" relationship. I was a child so I thought it was fine till one day, my foster mother was at work, and he did indescribable things to me.
