Few Weeks Later, Warehouse – The Day of the Planned Explosion

Jade's team was assembled in a warehouse they often met in to discuss illegal business. They didn't realize that Jade had been planning something much bigger and far more dangerous. The only person on Jade's team who knew about her plan was a trusted friend and confidant Derek.

Alone in the warehouse, Jade looks down at her watch, her heart racing. This was it. This was the moment she had been planning for.

She takes a deep breath, the sound of her own heart beating echoing in her ears. She had meticulously planned every detail, from the fake police reports to the staged explosion. Only Derek knew the true intention behind it all, and he was sworn not to tell a soul.

With one final look at her watch, Jade turns and walks towards a secluded corner of the warehouse, her mind going over the final steps of her plan. The warehouse was filled with various chemicals and explosives, the perfect staging ground for her grand spectacle.

As she reaches the corner, she grabs a piece of equipment, pretending to inspect it as she discreetly triggers the first explosion. As if on cue, the warehouse begins to light up with flames and smoke, the sound of the blast echoing through the air.

Jade stands in the middle of the chaos, watching as her team scampers around in confusion. They had no idea this was all orchestrated, believing it to be a horrific accident. Derek plays his part perfectly, his expression filled with horror and terror as he stumbles around, pretending to search for Jade.

As her team and Derek scramble around in a state of shock, Jade slips away unnoticed, just as she had planned. She knew that the fire department would soon arrive to quell the flames, and her body would be assumed to be amongst the rubble.

She quickly makes her way to a nearby alleyway, her heart still pounding in her chest. It was done. The explosion had taken place, and now all she had to do was wait for the news to spread that her body had been found amongst the wreckage.

As she stands in the shadows, she takes a deep breath, hoping that her grand gesture would be enough to make things right with Taylor. She just hoped that Taylor would see it for the grand romantic gesture that it was, and not be too upset about the fact that she had faked her own death.

Taylor's House – A Few Days After the Explosion

Taylor was sitting at her kitchen table, aimlessly scrolling through her phone when she heard a knock at the door. She frowned in confusion, wondering who could be visiting her at this hour.

Making her way to the front door, she opened it to reveal Brent, a member of Jade's team whom she had met a few times. Immediately, she could tell from the look on his face that something was wrong.

"Hey, Brent," she said hesitantly, her heart skipping a beat from the look on his face. "What's going on?"

Brent took a deep breath, his eyes filled with sadness. "Taylor, I have some news," he began, his voice low. "I don't know how to tell you this, but...there was an accident at Jade's warehouse. There was an explosion, and...they found Jade's body among the wreckage."

Taylor's heart dropped into her stomach, her breath catching in her throat. For a moment, she thought she must have misheard, but the look on Brent's face told her she hadn't. She stumbled backwards, leaning against the wall for support.

"What?" she whispered, her voice shaking. "No, that can't be true. You...you must be mistaken."

Brent shook his head, his expression filled with sorrow. "I'm so sorry, Taylor," he said, his voice laced with regret. "I know this is hard to hear, but it's true. The fire department found her body in the wreckage. There's no doubt about it."
