Y/n felt her own life move so fast, in a positive way.
She noticed her mood improved a lot, she was more cheerful and happy, she sang really well, more inspired in writing songs for the band, more energetic in actually everything. That wasn't something that noticed only her.
Lily saw that, and actually was happy for her friend improvement. But unlike Y/n, her friend knew damn well what improved her mood, even if she didn't like to admit it. Well, not what, but who.She started spending her evening in long walks around the city, as Hobie kept her company. Sometimes he would join her and her friends when they hang out, but rarely. He preferred spanding time alone with her, listening to her rant about her life, what she lived, her thoughts, her opinions, her view of things. He liked discovering new things about her. Not long time ago he discovered she didn't like sweets, she prefered salty food, that she wore glasses to read because her vision isn't one of the best, but when she's around someone, she would avoid using them because she didn't like her look while reading with them on. She disliked coffee because it's too strong for her, she wanted to learn to play new types of instruments as flute and also saxophone. She liked all kinds of types of music, classic music hipes her up, rap and trap disgusted her. She tried to do not spend too much money because she's trying to save them to buy a car. She liked studying litterature, she hates math and physic. She always wanted to visit Italy because her father was from here, he loved it, but she never had the possibility to go there. She had a few romantic relationships in the past, the last one wasn't the best because she felt ignored, in fact she was cheated on. The only good friendship with a boy was Lucas and now Hobie too. She preferred the beach to mountains, but she preferred coldness to warmness.
She doesn't believe in God, but she hopes there's somebody that would take care about her father in the afterlife. She was scared of being left alone, because she has always been an only child. She was scared of death, that's why she worries about her friends when they would do something new and unsusual. She was not sure that she wants to study law, she just did because she wanted to please her mother, who got so insistent on her own daughter since her husband deceased.
<<Why don't ya tell her?>> Hobie asked.
<<I don't want to disappoint her.>> she answered, looking down on the ground as they walked for the quiet streets of London. Hobie stayed closer to her, he knew he looked intimidating, like that other guys wouldn't bother her.
<<Ain't ya her daughter?>>
<<And what about it?>>
<<She wanted ya. She loved ya till now, ya could never let her down.>>
<<You don't know her.>>
<<Maybe I don't, love, but you're an amazing person. You could never disappoint.>>
<<And if I don't pass the law exams?>>
<<If you don't pass? Who bloody cares. You gave it your all. You put everything into it.>>
His arm slipped around her shoulder, trying to give her comfort.
<<You should do what makes ya happy. Sing? Go on. Study? Go for it. Go clubbing? Have a laugh? Have a hundred boyfriends? Helping people? Working in a factory? Do it. You've only got one life, and it'll end one day, one way or another. If ya keep doing things ya don't like, you'll go nuts. Trust me.>>
<<You say?>>
<<I'll say it loud and clear, love. If ya want to try the test for your mother, do it. The choice is yours. One thing's clear: I'll never leave. I'll always support your decision, love.>>
<<Really?>>
<<One hundred percent positive.>>
<<Well... I still want to do the test.>>
<<Fine for me. When should ya do it?>>
<<Tomorrow, to the University.>>
<<Hm good.>>
<<Can you... come with me tomorrow?>>
<<Need moral support?>>
<<Yes.>>
<<Count on me, love, always.>>
