The second day of school was in full swing, and as Y/N made her way to history class, she found herself navigating the chaotic hallways. Lockers lined the walls, plastered with notes and scribbles of teenage drama''UGIS!" "UGISS!" Two seventh graders ran past her by the halls. She looked around and lockers were filled with papers with written words saying "Dustin loves Maya" and "Brandt loves Maya"

She removed some but the bell rang.

'that poor girl' she thought.

Sighing, she reluctantly moved on, the weight of Maya's situation lingering in her mind.

History class turned out to be as tedious as expected, with the teacher droning on about events long past. Y/N tried to focus, scribbling notes mechanically, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Maya and the bullying she was facing.

When lunch finally came, Y/N headed outside, hoping for a brief moment of respite. Instead, she was greeted by shuji,

"Let's go," shuji signaled, with a soft smile

They approached the group of Shuji's friends, where they always sit. "Yo, wazzup y'all," y/n said greeted.

"Sup, Y/N," one of the guys nodded in acknowledgment, to which she responded with a polite nod. y/n sat down next to shuji and started talking with the others.

Suddenly, Evan, one of Shuji's friends, muttered, "Yo, Shuji, your dork sister is coming."

Shuji groaned audibly, frustration on his face. In a spontaneous move, he grabbed Y/N by the waist and pulled her close. Y/N looked at him, confused and slightly embarrassed by the sudden attention.

"What are you doing?" she whispered, but Shuji just winked and gestured for her to play along.

Blushing furiously, Y/N tried to compose herself as the other guys in the group nudged each other, amused by the scene unfolding before them. She noticed two girls approaching – Maya and Anna, the same girls she had heard about earlier in the hallway.

Y/N quickly adjusted her hair and straightened her posture, deciding to follow Shuji's lead.

"You shouldn't be here," Evan remarked to Maya and Anna, his tone brusque

They all turned to face the two seventh graders who stood nervously before them. Shuji spoke up loudly, "Get out of here, freaks."

"Hi, Shuji," the tall blonde greeted him while giving Y/N a dirty look, attempting to reason with him, but Shuji cut her off with a dismissive look. He glanced at Maya and Anna, signaling them to leave.

Y/N smiled warmly at Maya, silently offering her support. Maya returned a grateful look before she and Anna decided it was best to retreat.

As they left, the blonde turned back. "Shuji, no. It's important," she insisted, but Shuji's patience wore thin.

"Stop," he snapped, making it clear their presence was unwelcome. Y/N instinctively wrapped her arm around Shuji's shoulder, a gesture of solidarity that both surprised and comforted him.

Shuji's friends exchanged looks, annoyed by the interruption, but they remained silent.

The blonde persisted, "There were these boys in our grade..."

"Why are seventh graders bringing boy drama to us?" Y/N whispered to Shuji, puzzled by the girls' persistence.

Shuji shrugged in response, clearly irritated but trying to maintain composure.

you didn't really listen to them speak, you were kinda just standing there with shuji. thinking why he wanted to hold you when the girls came

"I need you to beat them up, Shuji!" the black-haired girl interjected, her voice urgent.

Shuji scoffed. "I'm not going to beat up seventh graders, but I can give you some choice words."

Before Y/N could interject, Shuji launched into a barrage of insults that left everyone bewildered. The girls seemed taken aback by his unconventional approach.

Undeterred, the black-haired girl tried to hug Shuji, but he sidestepped her awkwardly. Eventually, Maya and Anna retreated, pushing each other playfully as they disappeared into the school building.

"Who were those girls?" Y/N asked curiously, turning to Shuji's friends for answers.

"Shuji's dork sister and her friend," Evan chuckled, eliciting a punch to the arm from Shuji.

"Half-sister, you idiot," Shuji corrected him, irritation evident in his tone.

Y/N nodded, beginning to understand the dynamics at play. She took a cookie from her bag, munching thoughtfully as she processed the events.

"They're such dorks," Shuji commented finally, a hint of amusement in his voice as he raked a hand through his hair.

After the tension of Maya and Anna's departure settled, Y/N and Shuji returned to their group, and everyone resumed their lively conversations. Andy sparked up a blunt, filling the air with its distinct aroma. Y/N took a moment to process everything that had transpired before she turned to Shuji with a curious expression.

"Why did you do that?" she asked quietly, glancing at him with a mix of confusion and intrigue.

"Huh? Do what?" Shuji replied, genuinely puzzled by her question.

"Why did you pull me in like that?" Y/N pressed, her tone soft but insistent.

Shuji hesitated for a moment, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Oh, well, because of my sister's friend, Anna, and I wanted to," he admitted, his voice laced with playful mischief.

"Oh, so you used me, great," Y/N quipped, adding a touch of sass to her voice, though it was clear she meant it in jest.

Shuji chuckled softly. "I wouldn't say that, because we both enjoyed it," he countered, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Y/N couldn't help but blush at his comment, feeling a warmth spread across her cheeks. She looked away momentarily, trying to hide her embarrassment, but a small smile played on her lips. She glanced back at Shuji and saw a broad grin on his face, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Yeah, well, don't make a habit out of it," she teased lightly, though the playful banter between them felt surprisingly comfortable.

Shuji chuckled again, his grin widening. "Wouldn't dream of it," he replied, his tone light and teasing.

As they returned to the group's conversation, Y/N found herself stealing glances at Shuji, her thoughts swirling with a mix of curiosity and newfound interest. The day had certainly taken an unexpected turn, but somehow, being pulled into Shuji's orbit didn't seem like such a bad thing after all.
