Friday came quickly, and after school, we all met up at Kira's house to load up the car. Her mom was driving us there and was going to pick us up on Sunday. The sun was shining, and the weather forecast promised a clear, starry night. We packed the car with tents, sleeping bags, coolers filled with food and drinks, and everything else we'd need for a perfect camping trip.

As we drove to the campsite, the anticipation grew. We sang along to music, joked around, and talked about our plans for the night. When we finally arrived, the campsite was even more beautiful than we had imagined. The lake glistened in the late afternoon sun, and the surrounding trees provided a serene backdrop.

We quickly set up our tents, working together efficiently. Once everything was in place, we gathered around the campfire pit to get a fire going. The warmth of the fire and the sound of crackling wood created a cozy atmosphere as the sun began to set.

Sitting around the campfire, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores, the gooey chocolate and marshmallow treats tasting even better in the fresh air. We shared stories, laughed until our sides hurt, and simply enjoyed each other's company.

As the night grew darker, the stars came out in full force, blanketing the sky with their brilliance. Shuji and I sat close together, wrapped in a blanket, gazing up at the stars.

"This is perfect," I whispered, resting my head on his shoulder.

"It really is," he replied, his voice soft. "I'm glad we're here together."

The rest of the night passed in a blur of warmth and happiness. We stayed up late, talking and enjoying the tranquility of the night. Eventually, we retired to our tents me and shuji together, Kira, Evan, and Andy in the other falling asleep to the sounds of nature around us. I knew that Kira and Evan had a thing for each other and I was hoping something would happen on this trip.

The next morning, I woke up to the soft chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves. The tent was warm with the early sunlight filtering through the fabric, casting a golden glow over everything. Shuji was still asleep beside me, his face relaxed and peaceful. I watched him for a moment, feeling a rush of affection.

Careful not to wake him, I slipped out of the sleeping bag and the tent, taking a deep breath of the fresh morning air. The campsite was quiet, with only the sounds of nature around. I walked over to the lake, enjoying the serene beauty of the water reflecting the rising sun.

After a few minutes, I heard the others stirring. Kira emerged from her tent, stretching and looking around with a sleepy smile. "Morning, Y/N," she said, joining me by the lake. "It's so peaceful here."

"It really is," I agreed. "Did you sleep well?"

Kira nodded. "Yeah, it was nice. Evan and Andy are still out cold, though."

I chuckled. "Figures. Let's get some breakfast going. I'm starving."

We gathered some supplies and started preparing breakfast. The smell of cooking bacon and eggs soon filled the air, drawing Evan and Andy out of their tent, looking groggy but happy.

"Morning, guys," Evan said, rubbing his eyes. "Smells amazing."

"Thanks," I said, flipping the bacon. "Hope you're hungry."

As we all sat down to eat, the conversation flowed easily. We talked about our plans for the day, deciding to explore the hiking trails and maybe take a swim in the lake. Shuji joined us, looking refreshed and giving me a warm smile.

"Morning, everyone," he said, grabbing a plate of food. "Ready for some adventure today?"

"Absolutely," Andy said, his eyes lighting up. "Let's make the most of it."
