Lost in the Lady's Whispers

Chapter 30

Few months passed and our OJT was finished. Kinn even playfully wrote a letter to the University to hire me and  Yenna in their Dad's company. Baliw.

"Lady, ayusin mo 'yung hawak mo ng diploma!" Here I am, pinapagalitan ng girlfriend ko dahil tamad na tamad na ako habang pinipicture-an niya ako hawak ang diploma ko. Ang init init ng toga!

"Okay, Kuya picture mo naman kami!" Iniabot niya kay Kinn ang camerang hawak niya bago kinuha sa kamay ni Kinn ang dalawang bouquet na hawak niya. She gave me the other one and posed for the camera.

I immediately wrap my arm around her waist as the other hand holds the bouquet and the diploma. It's hard to hold them in one hand but my other hand is definitely for Yenna's waist.

I felt someone staring at me kaya nilingon ko iyon at nakita si Lopez. I rolled my eyes at him. Hindi ko na itinuloy ang pagpapatalsik sa pamilya niya sa sarili nilang kumpanya but I still managed to get the highest position. After a few months, ibinigay ko iyon sa secretary ko dahil hindi ko naman din talaga kailangan iyon. I hired another secretary with the help of Kinn dahil malapit na rin akong iproclaim as the new President of Rianzares Group of Companies. Dad said he'll step down in a few months dahil gusto na niyang magtravel na lamang kasama ang Mommy ko.

On the other side, I saw Yenna's friends looking at us too.

"Baby, your friends." I whispered. Natulala siya sa mga iyon. Ophie and Hester were quick to approach her habang ang iba ay nanatiling nakatingin lamang sa kaniya. That Jusue just stared at us earlier before he went outside the venue of the Graduation. I heard he'll be flying to the US.

"Kuya, picture-an mo rin kami nina Ophie!" Yenna told Kinn. Lumapit ako kay Kinn para bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga kaibigan niyang magpapicture sa kaniya.

I actually have some friends I met here while I'm an irregular student pero hindi kasing lalim ng friendship ko with Jhiezzel and the others. Nakagraduate na kasi sila few years ago kaya naiwan ako sa college.

Pareho man kami ng college program ni Yenna, we didn't get the chance to have the same courses dahil pahirapang makakuha ng slots sa mga professors dito dahil talagang agawan for their classes. Hindi na rin ako gumamit ng power for that dahil ang mahalaga lang naman sa akin ay makita siya araw-araw. It doesn't matter if we're in the same class or not.

"Hindi talaga kayo sasama?" Yenna softly asked her two friends standing a few inches away from us. I saw how their eyes became watery before they decided to go near Yenna, Ophie and Hester and hugged them.

Hindi ko na narinig ang mga pinag-usapan nila dahil pagkatapos ng picture-an ay hinila ko si Kinn palayo roon. I want to give them privacy.

"Are you still not getting that Ophie girl? Yenna's planning to set her up with one of my friends." Mabilis akong nilingon ni Kinn.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He sounded so displeased.

"Ang bagal mo kasi. I told Yenna that her friend's reserved already pero hindi ko sinabing ikaw. Who knows she'll push that through? Ikaw rin." I shrugged as I watched my girl smile from ear to ear.

"Ang yabang mo na ngayon palibhasa girlfriend mo na ang kapatid ko." I laugh at what he said.

"Ibig sabihin ay mas duwag ka sa ating dalawa. Mas mabagal ka." I teased more.

"You know, as an ex-fiancé, I still want you to have your own life. Go and marry someone you'd really want to be with for the rest of your life." I said and tapped his shoulder.

"Are you going to marry my sister?" He asked.

"Of course, when we're both ready. I don't wanna rush her. I've waited for a few years to be with her, I can do that again." I said.
