CHAPTER 43

" Dennis" Chelsea shouted at his back as he walked towards her shop and restaurant exit. But he didn't answer because he couldn't hear her. So she decided to take another tactic that will make him stop.

" Darling" She called out and that got him to stop and turn around.

" You just called me" DARLING " " He said to her as he turned and walked back towards her, " What brought this change?" He asked.

" I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you not quite long ago and the other times I spoke rudely to or should I say all the times I have been mean to you" She apologized for her behavior earlier and not quite long ago, "I am not usually this agitated, I guess you bring out this side of me, and I don't mean it in a bad way" She explained to him, " And I like you very much, just to be clear " She added.

" Then I guess if getting you agitated will make you call me darling and sweetheart, I will plead to continuing doing that" He confessed.

" You are so incorrigible " She murmured as she hit him on his shoulder playfully, seeing that he was joking right now, at a time she was apologizing to him; that means he has forgiven her.

" So are you. But I'm incorrigible for you" He said holding her hands and giving her the goo-goo eyes of someone in love.

" Get a room" A customer walking into the restaurant shouted at both of them.

" Oh, shut up" Dennis shouted back.

" Come on, stop it. That's my customer you are shouting at" She cautioned him, " Don't you know that customers are always right " She added.

" Look at you hurting me again. You are taking your customer's side, a total stranger over me" Dennis said to her, feeling hurt.

" Do you want me to loose my customer. What if I get a bad review. Bad review can lead to loose of customers and loose of customers means the end of the business. Meaning the end of my business " She explained to him, " Do you want my business to end?" She asked.

" No" He replied, " But if the worst comes to the worst and it comes to that, I will open a bigger one than this for you and we can change the name of your business and start all over" He jokes.

" As if . Would you change the owner too" Chelsea said going along with the joke.

" I will move the ocean for you, my love" He said poetically.

" Which Ocean , the one in your stomach?" She said jokingly with a laugh.

" Meany" He commented.

" Okay, Sorry. But you know your injury can be mended, but the injury of the customer whether physical or emotional can not be mended" She told him.

" Are you saying I am s softy?" He asked, faking annoyance.

" No, of course not. I will never say such a thing " She said, " And if you are a softy, you are my big softy" She said giving him a hug and immediately moves away from him, as if she just realized what she just did.

" That is the shortest hug ever, but I will take it" He told her, as he hugged her back, " I didn't know being angry and pretending to be, will get you to give me a hug , get you to actually be nice to me and get you to tell me you actually like me" He informs her.

" You are a rascal " She shouted as she pushes him away, " You were pretending all this while?" She asked him accusatory.

" And you were pretending not to like me the whole time" He accused her, " So I guess we are even" He added with a grin.

" Okay, I guess" She said and give him a peck on his cheek to even the scale, " now we are even" She added with a smug look on her face.

" That's not fair, you can't just do that out of the blue and not allow me to savour the moment when you gave me my first kiss from you" He argued.

" You told me a pecks is not kiss remember and your bad that you couldn't savour the moment, just deal with it " She said as she walks away.

" Don't worry, I will get you back, with a bigger surprise than yours " He warns.

" As if " She muttered and showed him the finger without turning around, as he stared on with a big grin shaping on his face, as she went back into the kitchen, while he walked towards his car.
