CHAPTER 29

     "So have you eaten?" He asked. 
" Not yet, but after this call I will " She told him. 
" Not yet, because I couldn't eat when the love of my life was so angry with me, but now she isn't anymore, I can now eat" He told her lovely. 
" You are so romantic" She told him. 
" That's why you love me" He told her. 
" Who told you that?" She asked him, " You wish" She said while laughing. 
" Don't worry you will soon love me, if you don't already do or in the process already" He told her, " You will and I know you have started loving me,  if not you wouldn't have forgiven me, right?" He asked insecurely, ", " I think so" He added. 
" I think so" She replied not too sure. 
" Oh, that's a relief I thought you would say no, like you normally do" He said to her. 
" But don't let it get to your head" She advised. 
" Because love is just like it can easily come and it can easily go away, due a little mistake" She warned. 
"That's lust, not love. Genuine love stays even in tough times. It stands the test of time. Although I know that when it is not reciprocated it can diminish and fade away, but I know you do reciprocate my feeling. That's why I will.try not to make much mistakes anymore" He told. 
" So what you are saying that you will still make mistake, upon all you know it will cost you your love interest or any potential relationship you have?" She asked trying to get a understanding of  his statement. 
" No, what I mean that we are human and we make mistakes. 
Hope you know that we are not perfect?" He asked her hopefully she will understand his indirect need of reassurance. 
" Yes I know we are humans and we do make mistakes" She replied. 
" Thank God, at a moment I thought you wouldn't" He murmured with a relief. 
" Why would you say that?, Of course I would know I'm human after all all",She told him offended by the notion that he thinks she is less a human by what he thought she believed, after all she knew quite well humans are not perfect, " But not being perfect, does not give you an excuse or opportunity to take advantage of our imperfections and do what ever you want or take chances" 
" I would never take advantage of that or you" He told her , also hurt. 
" Lets just agree to disagree" She said seeing if they continued this conversation, she wouldn't be the only one hurt. 
  " So what are you eating ?" He asked. 
  " I think since you got me the burger that I told you not to, that's what I will be eating this evening'" She reply. 
  " Well lucky you, for having such a thoughtful guy as a your friend" He said praising himself. 
  " Wow, look at you being so full of yourself again" She said playfully. 
   " Well, I can't help it, I'm such a great guy" He said with a  laugh. 
   " I think I'm realizing that " She told him honestly. 
  " Oh, I'm so glad to hear that" He told her. 
  " You are welcome " She replied. 
  " Okay, goodnight" She added 
  " Goodnight and sweet dreams dear. And remember to dream about me" He told her. 
  " In your dreams" She said playfully. 
   " Yes, in my dreams because you are already there" He told her. 
    " Whatever you say" She told him, " Bye" She added. 
  " Bye " He replied" Love you" He said. 
   " Okay" She said. 
  " Just okay?" He asked. 
  " Yes, okay" She replied. 
  " One day I will get you to say you love me too or say it back. And I think I got close to you saying it today, when you agreed that you are falling in love with me " He told her. 
  " Oh, I did I say that?" She asked playfully. 
  " Yes, you did and I have recorded it" He told her, insisting. 
   " You sneaky guy, you have been recording our conversation since?" She asked. 
  " Yes, and I would say I did the right thing, because I would have missed this memorable moment when my love was reciprocated" He told her. 
  " You better delete it"She warned, " Do you want to blackmail me later?" She asked angrily. 
   " What?" He asked, " You know I will never do that, even though we have only know each  other for short period of time.You should understand I'm not that kind of person" He told her, feeling sad by her accusation. 
   " Then when did you do it?" She asked. 
  " Because I want to remember everything we ever said to each other" He told her. 
  " But please delete it" She said to him 
  " I will think about it" He replied, " I hope you liked my gift?" He asked her. 
  " Yes, I did" She replied. 
  " What of your roommate or friend?" He asked. 
  " She does, she even called you her in-law and I began to wonder  which of her sister are you marrying, since I know she doesn't have a sister" She told Dennis. 
  " You roommate is a gem and a correct girl and let me tell you that you are the one  I'm going to take to my parents and make my wife" He told her, " You want to bet?" He asked. 
   " No, I don't , because I suspect you might win. It is as if you are on a winning strike and it is as if you are a professional gambler " She told him. 
    " I'm not a gambler. You are just afraid I will win and I'm just in love . I can never gamble with love" He told her. 
  " Okay, whatever you say. Goodnight again and bye for now" She bid him. 
  " Okay, bye the Queen of my life" He said. 
  " Bye" She said as she laughs and ended the call.
