I slept with Jin Kamurai.
I woke up the next day and found him lying next to me. His face mere centimeters from mine. There was a softness to him while he was asleep. Relaxed. At peace.
And shirtless.
In books, the most common comparison for a muscular guy was to that of a Greek sculpture. I thought it was such a cliche choice, but I now understood why. There was a certain elegance and beauty to his toned body that became a piece of art on its own. Last night, I was more focused on his injury rather than paying attention to his muscular physique.
Part of the Big Titty Committee too....okay.
I guess smashing vases with his sword came in handy after all.
The two of you were running on a couple of hours of sleep. It was just like that time you and Ana did that book reading marathon and she fell asleep on the couch while you were on the living room floor. This little sleepover means nothing.
I needed to focus on what actually mattered. Darius was back. If he found me last night, he would find me again.
No, Jin used the Mesmer Matches on him. He'll forget what happened and who he met. I slept with Jin. Still, I could run the risk of running into him again. I slept with Jin. Maybe if I fail my health check, I could still have my restrictions in place until graduation. But I liked going on missions.
I slept with Jin.
To not disturb him, I carefully scooted away...only to fall on my behind on the floor. It wasn't as graceful or as quiet as I wanted either.
"You enjoy sleeping on the floor too?" His groggy morning voice made him sound ten times sexier.
Mierda, Aurora Victoria, pull yourself together!
I peeked over and saw his famous frigid scowl. I smiled, "Good morning, starshine. The earth says hello!"
He rubbed his eyes, "What time is it?"
I checked my phone on the nightstand. "It's only seven thirty."
There were also several text notifications from my friends.
"Why are you up so early? It's the weekend."
"I've always been an early riser. I actually slept in this time."
I took a look at myself in the mirror. I looked like a walking disaster. I'm sure the bobby pins I had were buried deeper into my rat's nest of curls. My mascara had smeared all over my face. The sequins from my dress had left their indentations on my arms.
Since my friends and I had planned on having a slumber party here after the wedding, my toiletries and a change of clothes were already in my closet.
That reminds me...I should probably reply to their dozen messages before they get any genius ideas.
Jin used his elbows to prop himself up, "Doctor, shouldn't you be checking on your patient?"
At his words, I went into the bathroom and threw on one of the white bathrobes.
I re-entered the room and I cleared my throat. I adjusted my imaginary glasses, "Good morning, Mr. Kamurai. Thank you for coming in so early in the morning," I looked at my imaginary clipboard. "I see you were previously treated for a laceration from the left lower quadrant to the right upper quadrant."
"Where'd you learn that?"
"Grey's Anatomy and one of my older brothers is a surgeon," I sat beside him. "I can see whoever treated you did a stellar job with bandaging the wound."

FanfictionI thought coming to Darkwick Academy would be just like the other schools I attended. I go to class, go on missions, go to bed. Repeat. Now, I'm left with more questions than answers about this school and the ghouls among the student body.
