"Come on! Give us a spin!" Ana motioned with her hand.

"I swear...you are worse than my mother."

"It's tradition!"

She was right. Whenever there was a major event, even if only one of us were going, we always did a photoshoot. We had a whole album full of those photos with moments like Reina's first date with her boyfriend, Naomi's first pastry competition, Ana's first charity gala. Of course, there were some candid shots as well, like us passed out after a Barbie movie marathon.

"Come on Rory! Strike that pose!" Naomi put a hand on her hip, stuck her butt out, and pursed her lips. Her attempt at looking like a top supermodel made me laugh. It only gave Ana another opportunity to take another picture.

Reina returned to Frostheim so she could get herself ready. In the meantime, Naomi and Ana took advantage of Hotarubi's foggy entrance for some photos

I let my curls loose from their usual updo. The sky blue gown I chose was one I had been dying to wear. Hundreds of small silver branches trailed from the bodice to the bottom of the skirt. Several larger flowers covered the sleeve on my shoulder. Combined with the natural environment of my dormitory, it created some rather enchanting looking photographs.

I was about to head out when my phone rang. My heart sank to my stomach when I saw the contact name.

"You gonna answer it?" Naomi asked.

If I didn't answer now, she'd start calling my friends' phone to find out what was wrong.

After much debate, I slid it to answer the call. I answered it as cheerfully as I could, "Hi, mami!"

She covered her mouth with her hand. "Ay, mi hermosa princesa! Aurora!" Her camera then faced up to the ceiling. "Come here! Look at our daughter!"

My dad's face showed up on the camera. He put on his glasses and his eyes widened, "Wow! Doesn't our sunflower look like a star! Where are you going dressed up like that? What's the occasion?"

"It's a party that one of the dorms is having. To kick off the year, that sort of a thing."

"Ah, I see! Kind of like in Barcelona?" my mom asked.

"Yeah, something like that. Except it's a lot more formal."

My dad then asked, "Will there be boys?'

I rolled my eyes, "Papa..."

"Oh, let her be," my mom told him. "The past is in the past. History won't repeat itself."

No. Never again.

My parents then noticed my friends in the background. They asked them how they were doing, how school was going for them, and how their families were. They were practically their own daughters. My parents knew their parents, so it was natural for us to introduce us to each other. At first, we were only able to get together for special occasions and family vacations. When my family found out they would be at Darkwick, they were over the moon.
