It was morning time by the time I reached the small island. My eyes widened to see Sunfyre already resting by the old weirewood tree. I slid off of the dragons wing and walked towards the tree where two male figures stood under the long vines. A small home had been constructed. I was extremely confused on how and who had put it together so fast. I did not focus on that, for all my attention was soon drawn to Aegon who stood under the tree shirtless with only a Valyrian robe that sat opened. He had on black trousers with matching boots. I frowned noticing that the robe appeared to have been dyed green and gold. Along his head he wore the conquerors crown. Behind him stood a priest stood in traditional Valyrian apparel. I smiled to myself knowing Aegon had orchestrated this for me. He's knew hardly anything of the ancestral Valyrian ways. But he knew I did. I took slow and careful steps up to Aegon, clutching the ends of my cloak still feeling unsure about this. That was until I faced him. His smile was beaming as he gently removed the cloak from my body and his smile only grew.
"You truly are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes upon." Aegon whiserperd as he brought my hand up to his face and gently kissed it. I had so many questions. What suddenly made him want to marry me? What about Helaena?
"Aegon, w-what are we doing?" I nervously asked. My words coming out as a whisper.
"I love you, you know this to be true. I always have and I always shall. If there is one thing I know for truth is that by us being joined we have a stronger chance of coming out on top, together." Aegon spoke with affection.
"What of your sister?" I asked with unease.
"Do not speak of Helaena. Our marriage is one of paper and nothing more." Aegon spoke shortly. Not wishing to think of his sister at the alter.
"Now, please. Aemma. Let me show you how strong my love is." Aegon smiled gently as he guided me to the base of the tree where the priest stood with a anxious expression. Lit candles were scattered around the base of the tree. Aegon and I stood across from one another as he held my hand. I frowned as he dropped my hand and leaned towards the priest. I glanced at the two Dragons as they watched the scene before them intensely. The only witnesses to this matrimony were Sunfyre, Meraxes, and the priest.
"If you tell a soul of this, I'll have your cock ripped off your body and shoved down your throat." Aegon whispered with a false smile and patted the priest on the shoulder before turning back to me. The priest's obvious discomfort was noticeable as he coughed lightly and anxiously began to speak. Aegon held up a tinny fragment of black glasslike rock. My eyes widened and the realness of this situation finally hit me. Aegon brought the sharp rock up to my face and gently sliced a gash upon my lip. I instinctively stepped back at the pain, feeling the blood trickle down my lip.
"It is alright." Aegon hushed as he gently rubbed my lip in a comforting manner. The sticky blood staining his finger. He placed his hand on my forehead and left a trail of blood in the center. He handed me the shark rock and allowed me to slice his own lip. He hissed in pain as I did so. I brought my own finger up to his forehead and drew a similar symbol. I found not to focus on the priest behind me as he spoke in High Valyrian. Aegon took the rock back from my hand and grabbed my hand. He groaned staring at my hand.
"This might hurt." He whispered soothingly. My eyes widened as he took the rock and sliced a large gash on the center of my palm. I cried out and snatched my hand away as silent tears poured from my eyes. He handed me the rock after a few seconds and allowed me to slice his own hand in a similar manner. He cursed out in pain spewing countless curse words. I glanced at the priest who gave Aegon an odd look as he continued to read from an ancient Targaryen book. We placed our hands together as a beautiful golden rope was tied lightly around our conjoined hands. My heart sped up in mg chest staring down at the golden rope as red blood seeped into the material permanently the damaging its beauty. Soon enough the entire robe was ruined and blood trickled down as the fabric could only handle so much ruin. Underneath our conjoined hands sat a chalice filled with wine. The blood dripped into the cup. The Priest continued to recite the words of the ceremony as he handed me the chalice beneath us. I slowly brought the cup to my lips. I maintained eye contact with Aegon throughout the entire process as he smirked at me. I hesitantly took a sip from the wine, tasting it's tart flavor with a mix of iron. I forced myself to swallow the liquid and handed him the glass. He did the same, never breaking eye contact.
