Lessons for the day went smoothly. Nothing big happened in those hours, just Aelori talking a lot during the lessons with Pandora about Quidditch. She really had no idea why the game was so much fun.
Pandora just smiled at her, while eventually hopping over to Regulus who was reading in a clove. Aelori knew better than to follow her.
Her and Regulus have not had a friendly conversation since the moment she woke up from the hospital wing. All honestly, she made sure there wasn't any conversation between the two.
The rivalry between the two still stood. The glares were still shot at each other from the other side of the corridor.
Aelori kept on walking towards the potion room. The room of detention, as the marauders have told her.
They felt bad for her, so they gave her some snacks to hide in her backpack. They told her that there will be a lot of physical work, which make you hungry.
She shuffled through her bag, seeing something out of the ordinary. She lifted her head up in confusion, looking for the person who might have put it in there.
"Sirius." She called out when she saw him standing against the wall, with a girl touching his bicep.
"Yes, Aelori." He said dragging out her name. He pushed himself off the wall, making his way towards her.
Aelori could see that he is handsome. She knew the reason why every girl liked him, or even the other Black. The pull of wanting to be that special one. Aelori knows that Sirius is not a settle guy, Andromeda already warned her about him about that.
But there was something about him that didn't make Aelori's knees buckle. Or twist her hair between her fingers.
"What is this, Sirius?" She said, holding up the pack of cigarettes.
"Those are cigarettes." He said, confusion lacing his tone.
"I know what they are, but why give them to me." She raised her eyebrows at him. "Are you trying to get me hooked on them?"
"No, really no." Sirius quickly said.
Aelori laughed at him, seeing the regret already in his eyes. She grabbed one cigarette out of the pack and gave it to him.
"Thanks." Aelori smiled at the boy and made her way towards the potion classroom for her detention.
"Hello, Profes-" Aelori broke her sentence when instead of seeing Slughorn, she sees no other than Regulus casually leaning against the desk.
"Welcome, Broze." He said with a smirk. "I want you to clean up everything here, without any magic."
"What are you doing here?" Aelori questioned him.
"I am a prefect you see." He said taking a few steps closer to her. "I am above you now, I can give you detention as much as I want too."
Aelori rolled her eyes at him and pushed him away using her shoulder. She grabbed a bucket of soap and a towel.
She took a glance around the room, seeing chairs that have fallen over. Some liquid falling from the table. Her worst mistake was to glance towards Regulus who stood there with a smirk on his lips.
He casually leaned against the desk, twirling his wand between his fingers. Aelori rolled her eyes at him.
She cleaned up everything. Everything was straight and clean. She had put her hair in a high ponytail, short strings of hair stood out in almost every direction.
"For a mudblood you did a wonderful job," Regulus began. "But that is because they don't use magic, disgusting really."
A spoon flew towards Regulus head. He moved out of the way, seeing the bottles scatter behind him. A smile came over his face.
"Well, looks like you have more work to do."
"Can you just shut up?" Aelori said, annoyed at him.
Regulus smiled at her outburst. He liked the challenge she gave him. Everyone else would do anything for him, but not Aelori. No, she would rather murder him.
"Why, I am telling the truth right." Regulus shrugged his shoulders, leaning against the desk.
Aelori pulled out her wand, pointing it at him. Her eyes darkened, which made Regulus straighten himself. The amber colour turned darker, redder than gold.
"I did not fucking survive my ass out there for people like you talk shit about me, or other witches or wizards," Aelori began. Regulus opened his mouth to say something witty but closed it after Aelori now took a few more steps towards him, jabbing her wand into his throat.
"You are only so pure because your parents are fucking cousins, you inbred little shit."
Aelori felt a sharp pain on her right cheek. She slowly turned her head back towards Regulus, but she showed no emotions.
She strapped her wand onto her upper thigh. With her cold hand she touched her cheek, finding blood on her fingers. She looked down at his hands, his fingers were littered with all kinds of rings.
Aelori let out a slow breath and grabbed her bag from a desk. She walked towards the door, done with the so 'broken' boy Andromeda had told her about. But it was all an excuse, a simple excuse for his behaviour.
"If you leave now, I will notify Dumbledore and he will inform your parents." Regulus called out to her.
Aelori let out a laugh, making the boy look at her in confusion and still angry at her.
"My parents are dead, Black."
Aelori opened the door, closing it with a bang behind her. She quickly walked back to her dorm in the Ravenclaw tower. She fiddled with the pack Sirius gave her.
She grabbed a cigarette and lid it up. She took one inhale and coughed up the smoke. Sirius made it seem so easy, but he had told her once that it helps in stressful situations.
The Black brothers will the death of me. She thought while taking another hit from the cigarette, this time she slowly let the smoke enter her lungs.
Regulus stayed frozen in the classroom. He would not notify Dumbledore. The reason is that he could get in trouble for hitting her. He just wanted her to stay, tell her he is sorry.
But a Black never say sorry to anyone, not a mudblood like her. That is why the words fell from his mouth, but he didn't expect the reply she shot his way.
But don't think this will make him hate her less. He still hated her in every bone in his body. It wasn't just a hate he has for someone, because they did something very wrong.
It was a hate that when she took a breath he wanted to take that away from her. Just hearing her talk, Regulus wants to rip his hair out.
