Aelori sat on the bench, waiting for the practice to start. Her and Pandora gathered some snacks before and were munching on them. She gave some to Barty after he tried to steal one away.
After sitting for 10 minutes the Slytherin boys finally made their way onto the field. Aelori sat on the tip of her seat, watching how they all went up in the sky on a broom.
Her mother wasn't a flyer, she didn't even know about this. She hasn't read it in any books either.
Her eyes were wide in amazement, watching them move with so much speed and dedicate in the sky.
"You really haven't seen quidditch, have you?" Barty asked the girl beside him, her eyes glued on the field while she shook her head from side to side.
Barty smiled at the girl, and he decided to explain how the the whole quidditch worked. About points, players and everything else.
"Last, but not least we have the seeker." Barty began, almost done with explaining everything. "That is where your favourite person comes in."
Barty pointed at the player standing below everyone else. His broom in his right hand, while he yelled out orders to everyone.
"Black." Aelori snarled. "And he is not my favourite person."
Barty and Pandora simply shared a look, not a word exchanged. Aelori's eyes were on Regulus, his hair damp from all the flying he did before.
Regulus felt eyes on him, and he turned to look at the stance. He saw Barty talking and pointing at all directions. Aelori's eyes were on his while she nodded along to Barty's words.
When Aelori notices that Regulus had caught her looking at him, she did the most normal thing anyone else would do.
She lifted her hand up in the sky and gave him the middle finger.
Regulus looked at her confused, just as Evan landed beside him.
"Hey mate." He said out of breath.
"What does that mean?" Regulus asked the boy beside him and nodded his head towards the stands.
Evan saw Aelori sitting there with her middle finger up in the sky. But as quickly as he saw it, it disappeared as fast as it could.
Evan sniggered when he saw Aelori look up at the sky. She knew that he saw what she did.
"That is called giving someone the middle finger," Evan began. "It basically means fuck you."
"She wants to fuck me?" Regulus asked obliviously.
Evan eyes grew wide at this, his head twisted as fast as it could towards Regulus. Regulus eyes were furrowed in thought.
"No, it is more like bugger off but fouler." Evan explained to his oblivious friend.
Evan didn't mind explaining these things to his friend. Yes, he is a Rosier and shouldn't know these little muggle things. But he finds them fascinated. He always walks around the muggle streets once he is home.
Regulus simply rolled his eyes at how childish Aelori can be. He grabbed his broom and mounted it, yelling to his teammates; "Break is over, let's get back to it."
Aelori kept her eyes on Regulus, seeing him fly over the field.
"What is his position again?" Aelori asked Barty.
Barty turned to her and turned to look at Pandora, without saying a words, asking if she was for real.
Pandora nodded at him with a smile and grabbed a bite of her chocolate frog.
"He is the captain of the team, a seeker." Barty explained, again. "He has to catch the Snitch, which is 150 points. If they catch it, the game will end. Regulus here is the best you see."
"Because there is only one seeker in each team." Aelori sharp tongue was faster than her brain, but Barty laughed either way.
"You will see." He said back with a knowing smile.
Aelori's eyes were on the field again, seeing all the players working very well together. The thing she noticed was that there were no girls on the team.
"Why are there no girls on the team?" She questioned Barty.
"They are weaker, slower and have a fear of hight." Barty said.
"Overall, you would say they are the weakest link in the teams?" Aelori said, her eyes boring into the side of his head.
"Yes, that is what Regulus would say."
Pandora watched the whole exchanged and gave in a long sigh. So close and someone screwed it up again.
"Black." Aelori grumbled. She grabbed her bag and a snack for the way and started to walk down towards the pitch.
Pandora watched her friend walk away, but turned to Barty who was watching the girl weirdly.
"Never, ever say anything bad about Regulus and his views, she will get very provoked."
