Kalani's POV:
After a few days everything settled down and the euphoria of Christmas was over. It took two days for us to get all of the Christmas decorations down, which is mostly my fault for putting so much up in the first place. Lesson learned.
Today was Tuesday and Nick was going to take me out somewhere and teach me how to fight. Or at least I think that's what we're doing. He's been grabby lately so this could just be a ploy to get me out of the house and the safety of the other three so he can have his way with me. Either way I'm benefiting from it.
For the day I decided to wear some leggings and a tight fitted shirt. I figured I could make good of my deal with Nick another time and keep this practice strictly professional.
I grabbed my backpack that had all my personal items in it and skipped downstairs. Brandon wasn't home. He had to meet up with some guy named Todd that he'd worked for in the past about something. I vaguely remember him saying he was asked to do a job of some sort.
Austin was upstairs fast asleep because he decided to stay up all night and watch the first four seasons of The Flash. Or should I say attempted because he got through about three seasons before I came downstairs and made him go to sleep.
He was half asleep anyways so I was technically doing him a favor. He can watch the rest once he wakes up. That is if he ever wakes up. That man could sleep for days if we let him.
"You ready, baby?" Nick asked. He was by the door waiting patiently for me to come downstairs.
"Mhm." I hummed. I looked over to the couch to see Tristan looking at me confused before he looked at Nick.
"I hope you're taking her to her therapy appointment because she's not going anywhere else." What? I don't have a- OH SHIT! I totally forgot.
"She goes to therapy Wednesday and Friday." Nick said, rolling his eyes.
"She had to reschedule her appointments because we went on that cabin trip."
"I forgot about that. I have to change, I've gotta be there in like 45 minutes." I said quickly before I sprinted back upstairs to change into something else.
I put on some light washed jeans and a plain black shirt. It was simple but I looked cute. I pulled my hair up and put on some chapstick before I grabbed my purse and headed back downstairs.
"Who gets the privilege of chauffeuring me to therapy today?" I asked, looking between Nick and Tristan.
"Nick already called dibs, doll." Tristan said, glancing up from his phone.
"Of course he did." I said, smirking at Nick.
"Hey, I was promised that I'd get to hang out with you today. This isn't what I planned, but it's close enough." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes before I made my way over to Tristan and gave him a kiss before heading out the door.
We got in Nick's car and I put my seatbelt on while he started the car. He backed out of the driveway before making his way uptown.
"How long is your session today?" He asked, reaching over to grab my hand and interlock our fingers.
"I'm not sure. An hour, maybe two. It's been a minute since we've met so I'm sure she'll want to catch up on what I've been doing." He hummed and brought my hand up to kiss my knuckles.
"Do you feel like she's helping you?" I thought about it for a second before I answered.
"Sometimes. Not all the time but a good majority." I said honestly. Mrs Green was a big help. She made me feel normal sometimes. Like I didn't have a million things begrudgingly pulling me back into the dark.
