"I'm not angry, more confused. All Pink... Red... Rose? It doesn't matter. What I'm trying to say is that they were a threat. They didn't fit in, nor did they even try. The world I worked so hard to create was nearly destroyed by them. And yet, they dared to run when their home was in its greatest danger and to fall in love. Isn't that crazy?

They were reckless, defying everything we stood for. How could they not see the chaos they were bringing? I put my heart and soul into maintaining order, into creating something stable and beautiful, and they almost tore it apart with their impulsiveness.

Who am I kidding? I'm talking to myself these days. Everyone I could have talked to was either in that room or broken over a gem I took from them. My colleagues, my friends—I've lost them all to this madness. The only one who understands me, who remains loyal, is you, Pearl. You're the only one I can rely on, the only one who can help me leave this world doing what I love... experiments. Without you, I don't know what I'd do. You keep me grounded, keep me focused. Together, we can continue our work, continue to make discoveries, even if the rest of the world has gone mad." The diamond whose color seems to have...darkened, some may even use the term dull, turns away from the pearl.

Although calling them a Pearl is wrong, they are but a fraction of themselves now. The Pearl's eyes are completely black, void of any color or white. Their body is covered in scars, looking like they could burst open at any moment, but even if they did, only black fluid would spill out.

Around the room, many other bodies lie, each covered in the same black fluid. Black Diamond moves around the room, a single tear running down her face.

"I know this is cruel, but if I release them, I risk losing you and the experiment growing inside you."

The remains of the Pearl are pregnant.
