The dreams, the visions—everything was pushing them toward one thing. And they couldn't wait any longer. While Spinel busied herself trying to fix a Homeworld communication device that kept breaking (probably thanks to the Crystal Gems), Y/N made their move. Quietly, they slipped away and took the small ship docked nearby.
As the ship lifted off, Y/N's mind raced. They were finally going home.
Earth was just as beautiful as they remembered when they entered its atmosphere. The bright blue oceans, the sprawling green land, and the comforting familiarity of it all hit them harder than they expected. When they landed by the coast and stepped out of the ship, Y/N couldn't help but take a deep breath.
The sweet smell of flowers drifted through the air, mixing with the salty tang of the ocean breeze. Off in the distance, faint trails of smoke rose into the sky, carrying the warm, earthy scent of campfires.
"Oh, how I missed this," Y/N muttered, letting the air wash over them.
But their moment of peace didn't last long. As they moved closer to their hometown, they noticed the damage. Many of the buildings were crumbled or partially destroyed, likely from corrupt gem attacks. The streets weren't as busy as they used to be, but the people who remained didn't seem panicked or desperate. Instead, it felt like they had simply grown used to it all.
Then Y/N felt it.
A strange energy seeped through the air, faint but unmistakable. It leaked out from the ocean in waves, heavy and unsettling. Y/N froze, staring at the water. There was something massive beneath the surface, something powerful and corrupted.
And yet, that wasn't the only energy Y/N could feel. This one was familiar, pulling at them in a way they couldn't ignore.
Lapis
Her presence was faint, but it was there, lingering in the ocean like an echo. Y/N's heart raced as they scanned the shore, looking for any sign of her. Memories of Lapis flooded their mind—her calm yet dangerous power, her connection to the ocean, and the way her presence could both comfort and intimidate.
"Why are you here?" Y/N whispered, their voice trembling slightly.
The corrupted energy and Lapis' lingering presence didn't make sense together. Had she come to face the monster? Was she connected to it somehow? Y/N didn't know, but they couldn't ignore the pull.
Looking out at the ocean, Y/N felt a mix of excitement and dread. Whatever their mother, Black Diamond, had been showing them in those visions, this was part of it. The answers were here, waiting to be uncovered.
Y/N took a deep breath and started toward the water's edge. They didn't know what they would find, but they couldn't turn back now. Lapis' energy and the strange presence beneath the ocean called to them, and Y/N knew this was just the beginning of whatever awaited them on Earth.

Y/N sprinted across the beach, the chaotic battle unfolding before them in a blur of motion and sound. The monster—an enormous corrupted gem creature—loomed out of the ocean, its twisted, glowing form shaking the earth with each step. Surrounding it, dozens of Jacinth swarmed like a hive of hornets, their sleek, orange forms moving in perfect sync as they attacked with sharp, brutal precision.
Y/N slides to a stop, their chest heaving as they took in the destruction. The beast roared, lashing out with massive limbs that shattered the Jacinth into glowing fragments. The remaining soldiers regrouped.
It was too much. The chaos, the violence, the destruction—Y/N couldn't stand it anymore. "STOP!" Y/N screamed, their voice splitting the air like lightning.
