CHAPTER 15 :
❀ I MISS YOU TOO❀

The door of the metallic box closed, making me wonder about the decision I took just few minutes before. I never planned on leaving her, definitely not after having a conversation related to our marriage. Knowing very well how everyone left her in her life, I was hesitant to do the same. Yet, the decision doesn't rely on me today.
She asked me for a divorce. A fucking divorce. What was she even thinking all night, that she ended up at the conclusion of giving up on our marriage? The marriage , which binds us both in this relationship as husband and wife.
How can she even forget that she's growing the little one in her womb who's going to call me dad? Our child.
I clearly did not believe the news when earlier in the morning, Mr. Shrivastava informed me. It was as if someone poured hot oil on my wounds. When he shared the call recordings with me, I was shattered. This only indicates one thing and that is how I wasn't able to make her feel wanted, safe and comfortable in this marriage.
It's all my fault. I should've been extra careful.
I failed as a husband. A husband I always wanted to be for her. For my wife.
When she said she wanted to abort our baby, I was angry at her decision, but I quickly composed myself knowing very well that she will never even think of harming our little one.
If that was the case, she would've done it when I asked her to marry me. Yet, she chose to marry me rather than choosing the other decision. And still she's unaware of the fact that the father of that bastard will kill her anytime, if he will know about this.
Hence, I've kept things under my control this time. Except my wife, who rules over me. I can't even put myself in a situation where I'll ever control her.
The metallic door clicked open, revealing the parking area. I stepped out to look at the shiny Red Bently at my view which notified me the presence of the woman sitting inside the car.
The woman who's responsible for all this.
I made my way, towards the car, as Kabir approached me. Instructing him about the week's schedule with my wife, I asked him to contact her secretary everyday to know about her work and tighten the security in my absence. Once I was done with the work, the driver opened the car door for me.
The woman wearing a red dress with shiny black glasses hiding her eyes, elegantly sat in the backseat gave me a curt nod, as I sat inside the car. Rolling my eyes at her audacity, I sat beside her as the driver took the seat behind the wheels and drove on the road.
No pleasantries made. That's how it is with us both.
Looking outside the window, I sighed leaning onto the headrest of my seat. My eyes automatically closed as I relaxed. This is what happens when you stay awake all night.
Yesterday, when I noticed Meera was asleep in my arms, I just couldn't bring myself to sleep. It was the first time in six years I was holding onto her in my arms. A dream which I thought will never be accomplished, was my present.
A small smile made it to my face. She is just my whole world. How can I even bring myself to sleep while holding my whole world in my arms?
She was my dream. A dream I knew I can never buy with money. Yet, today she's my wife.
My wife. My Meera. My love.
Still, a life with her is still a dream. And I'm ready to make amends to give my best to her. Try every possible method to make up to her all my life. But I trust our destiny too , which I know will bring us together again.
