"Then where are you taking me early in the morning like this?" I interrogated him.
"Have some patience, Mrs. Singhania."
That is something I cannot do. And, definitely not when I'm with you.
We descended the stairs and entered the living room. It was filled with darkness, except for the white lights in the corner. Usually, we keep them on so that the house helpers or Nalini Aunty will have the way to the kitchen area at midnight.
No one was present in the living room as it was only past five-thirty in the morning.
Who even wakes up so early in the morning?
My husband. Of course.
I smiled looking at him. We may have an age gap of two years yet he never let me regret my decision of marrying him.
Life is the best with him.
I still blame my stupid mind for having doubts about him. How can I even think like that?
How is he so selfless when it comes to him? Am I so lucky to have him in my life?
Yes. I am.
"Will you walk from here?"
I averted my gaze from him towards the parking lot area.
I grinned at him while nodding my head.
He put me down, as I still smiled at him. The cool breeze passing through me, made me shiver as goosebumps erupted on my skin. I engulfed myself in a hug lightly stroking my hands to help my body with some warmth.
I looked at the source of the wind, and my jaw dropped as soon as my black eyes met with the blue sea.
We are at the beach.
Beach. Beach. Beach.
With slow steps, I moved ahead as my feet dipped into the sands. The smell of the fresh sea with the sound of waves made my heart swell.
I've wanted to visit here since we moved here, but again, so many things occurred between us, which made this plan postpone always.
My body flinched when his fingers brushed at my arms with a warm material, as I turned to look at him.
"It's not good to stay in a cold environment." He paused. "I know you do sleep in AC every night but let's reduce it so that we don't fall sick."
I gazed at the jacket now engulfing my body. He helped me wear it. Once I was done, he zipped it up.
It was a over-sized version. Is this not mine?
"Why is this so loose, Mr. Singhania?" I asked him, with a pout swaying the loose long sleeves in the air.
He bent down to reach my level and smiled, "Because, it's mine, love."
I looked into his chocolate brown eyes now shining with my eyebrows furrowed, "Are you poor, Mr. Singhania?"
"H-Huh?"
"Why are you renting stuff to me? If you don't have money, I can lend you some you know, and you just have to share your UPI-"
