The brilliant warm weather began to fade behind the heavy clouds that passed over the bustling busy city of the metropolis transforming the previously warm dazzling weather into a shadowy dark cloudy city in minutes. Winds started to swirl fiercely in the air, sweeping with them any delicate or lightweight material.
This is a warning of arrival. The return of the woman who had lost her future husband just before their wedding week.
The woman who loved him with all of her heart. The woman who gave up her career for him. The woman who surrendered her self-respect for that man. The woman who had originally met him as a potential groom. The woman who settled to tie the knot herself to her future husband, the only man she cherished, was concerned about, and desperately wanted to marry.
As the signal on the hustling street turned red, she walked on the black and white crosswalk, fearless of death.
The rain started to come down strongly, followed by roaring thunder, thoroughly drenching her. She was dressed in a full-sleeved white jumpsuit, a white clutch, with black shades covering her hazel gray eyes. Her fragile slender body, narrow neck, and lean body enhance her actions attractive to those watching her.
Since the previous month, a color that she has always despised has become a part of her.
White. The color of peace. For her, this symbolizes the color of mourning.
The color conveys her sorrow to him who may be watching her every day, from heaven.
Today, she arrived back in the city from her month-long grieving phase, to find out about the reason for the death of her fiance.
She was always cherished with lots of love, care and affection. All she wanted was the same from her husband. Yet, she adjusted with his new-age mind.
An open relationship before their marriage.
She was reluctant at first to accept his proposal. She found it inappropriate. Nevertheless, she accepted it. She liked him, at their first meeting.
It was an arranged marriage alliance between two families. One came from strong businesses and the other known for their political party and winning positions in the government.
They dated for two years before they planned their wedding in a very secluded part of the world to marry each other. A marriage in secrecy to protect the privacy in both the families.
Crossing the road, she walked towards the beach in the dark mid evening as the rain had heavily soaked her. The waves turned hoarse as the thundering kept echoing in the sky.
Does life really make sense when the one who you loved by all you ever had died in a mere car accident?
No, right?
She hated it all. She had planned their entire future life in the oversea country and yet it all ended. She wanted to have a life with him, till their hair had turned gray.
Ended with a blink. A blink of the moment is all it took for him to disappear from this world.
Standing in front of the huge water beach, the yelling voices stopping her faded in the background as she approached the shoreline. The beach threw a wave at her, making her lower body wet.
