The water from the shower gushed down my uncovered body and flowed through me to the floor. With the modest warm water temperature, it was constantly cascading on me, and I could feel the warmth from inside my body as I took a deep breath, shut my eyes, and rubbed my fingers through the locks of my long wet hair.

"Because I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant. I'm bearing your child. Our child. Our child, Ayush."

A familiar voice echoed inside my head. Shaking my head at my thoughts, I chanted to myself.

It was a dream. Just a dream.

He is no more. You saw him in the hospital bed.

Don't overthink.

Just breathe.

In. Out. In. Out.

Tears pooled in the end of my eyelids, thinking about him.

Is my decision wrong? I've moved on so easily.

How can I be so selfish? I promised him.

I promised to love him forever.

And yet, I'm here today, eager to give my husband a chance. A second chance that he deserves. No, he has earned this chance by standing by my side for the previous month. Or, perhaps, the opportunity he had earned since proposing to me with a marriage proposal that night.

That night, I could only see assurance in his eyes. The unsaid words in his eyes made me trust no one except him.

No matter how difficult it's getting each day to handle my own thoughts and emotions, I have decided to give him a chance and now I cannot step back.

Every single night my arms are not around you

My mind's still wrapped around you

Baby, tell me when you're ready

I'm waitin'

Baby, any time you're ready

I'm waitin'

Even ten years from now

If you haven't found somebody

I promise, I'll be around

Tell me when you're ready

I'm waitin'

A small smile made it to my lips, as I remembered the video of Raghav singing the song for me.

It wasn't about Raghav at first. It was about the song he chose.

My favorite part of my memory is that as a child, I had a list of things I wished to do once I became financially reliable, which included buying myself things I had always wanted. And out of all of that, I wanted someone who would love to perform the same song for me.

I had always asked Ayush to listen to this song once and understand the lyrics of it carefully as I knew how deeply each word was put in the song, but he had declined my request saying I should focus on my job and earn money instead of wasting my time on silly hobbies. Whenever I had asked him out on dates, he avoided the topic saying he had office work for his family and he cannot be seen hanging out with me in the open world.
