You can't save me

Taylor's pov
We wait for Mia saying she and George have some important news. "Hey. You're back." I say they both looked at each other smiling. "Mom, dad, William. We found Hope. She's here!" Mia says I process what she said "So that was really her?" joe asks and we look at him. "I thought I saw her before. When I was headed back home from the grocery. She was across the street. I thought I was seeing things but it was her." he says and I also remember when I thought I saw her. "You saw her too didn't you, mom?" mia says and I nod.

"Why didn't she talk to us then. How is she back? Is she alright?" I say. "We don't know. All we know is she's back and she just watches us from a distant." Mia says. "We better tell Kara and Oliver. Maybe they also know something." I say and we take our bags and an extrapolator getting ready to leave.

Kara's pov
A breach opens at the tower and the Alwyns come out with a boy. "Hi. What are you guys doing here? And who is he?" Alex asks "Guys, this is George. George this is Kara, Oliver, Alex, Thea, J'onn, Lena, Nia, and Brainy. Hope's family." Mia says and George shakes our hands. "It is nice meeting you. Apologies if we only met now." he says. "Nice to met you too. What are you guys doing here?" Oliver asks.

"Hope's back." Joe says and I feel my heart drop. "You guys saw her too?" I ask. Oliver looks at me. "You know?" Taylor looks at me. "No. I thought she was just a figment of my imagination. I saw her once during a bank robbery and when I ran after her, she was gone. She was so fast even for me to see so I thought she was not real." I say Oliver looks "Why didn't you tell me?" he asks "I didn't want you to worry."

"So if you guys are saying that Hope's back, where is she? Why isn't she here?" J'onn asks. "That's why we are here. There is something wrong with her. When we saw her she changed. She didn't even talk to us. She just left. All she does is watch us." George says with his hands at his back. "Well then, we gotta find her to know more about what really happened."

Hope's pov
How could I be so stupid. I knew that I should have stopped. I knew they would find out. I need to leave. I enter the control center and walk up to Darkseid.

"We need to leave!" I tell him. He's looking at me amused. "And why is that? I think I'm still enjoying my time here." he says and I lower my head. He then lets out a small laugh. "Looks like someone saw you. Didn't it." he says. "Just makes me want to stay longer." he says and I look at him. He was grinning. I then leave.

I enter my room and I shout in anger. How could I be so fucking stupid. I can't show my face anymore. Not now not again.

kara's pov
We try searching for news on ships. Sightings. We think some people here are helping Darkseid return. We try looking for them but it's no use.

"Kara. I think we found something." Alex calls for all of us. "Check this out. This is a mountain that the DEO monitors before cuz of alien activity. They use it as a hidden base. We stopped monitoring it because it was previously dangerous cuz the snow was so bad. But look at it now. The temperature is starting to normalize. It's like someone's-"  Lena says but Joe continues the sentence. "Like someone is living there. Engines could be big enough to melt the ice and lower the temperature of the place cuz of its heat." he says. "So we go and check there." Taylor says. "We could be wrong cuz it could also just be global warming." Alex says. "It's better to check than not knowing at all." Oliver says.

"We're coming with." George says. I then look at Taylor and Joe. "He's right." Mia says. "No. You three are staying here. It could be dangerous up there." Joe says and we just wait for them. "But Hope's our sister. We have the rights to find her and save her. After what she did years ago, it's the least we could do." William tells them. "But, George. You can't go. I promised your parents before you left we would keep you safe. You have a whole future ahead of you. We can't risk you getting hurt. Or worse, killed." Taylor says. I know what she means. He is the future King of England. "I don't care about my future unless Hope is in it. She means everything to me and losing her for 3 years was torture. I can't imagine my life without her." he says which makes me smile at him seeing how much he loves and cares for my daughter. "You can't really argue with that." I hear Thea says which makes me laugh a bit. "Fine. But you three will be staying behind us." Joe says. "Oh don't worry. I have a weapon." Mia says we look at her showing the same weapon Alex has. "Where'd you get that?" Alex says. "Hope gave it to me for my 15th birthday." she says. "Right." Alex says.

We head to the mountain quietly avoiding attention.
They were right. There is a ship here. We sneak in slowly and enter a room. We look around the room and it looks like the room they use to open a breach to travel faster. "Wait. We can use this room. We can time this to open a breach to where they came from and destroy it to make it permanent. Make sure they won't change it. Once we get Hope, we can send them back to where they belong." William says. "How do we even know they won't have a spare one?" Nia says. "Look. It literally says 'be careful. do not mess with it. only one.' not so smart of them to make that." he adds well he is right though. It would tale them ages to build it. Ages to travel back to earth." he says. "Well. He is right. How do we put a timer for it though?" Oliver asks. "Don't worry. I got it. Just keep watch. See, mom. This is why I went with you guys." he says I see Mia rolling her eyes. "Just do it, Will." Taylor says.

"And, done. I put a timer on it for 15 minutes. Should give us enough time, right?" he asks. "Perfect." Oliver says.

We then look around for Hope. Avoiding guards.

hope's pov
I hear my door open and footsteps. He can never leave me alone can he. "Haven't I done enough already. I did everything you've asked. All I ask from you is for us to leave. I give up. You win. You will always win. I already know I lost my family already. Don't make me see them anymore. Let this suffering end." I say waiting for him to say something. "Hope." I hear a familiar voice behind me say. I know that voice from anywhere. George.

I turn around fast. He's standing there. Staring at me with his beautiful eyes. Something I wished for a long time. I then look behind him and see both my parents and my siblings.

He runs towards me and hugs me. I close my eyes wishing it could just stay like this. I snap to reality. I push him away.

"No. You shouldn't be here. He'll see you!" I say as I get my weapons. Mom(k) then walks up to me. "We have a plan Hope. You don't have to stay with him. We will get you out of here. It's our turn to save you." she says as she holds my hands.

"You don't understand. I will never escape him. He will always find me. You can't save me!" I say as I head for the door. Checking. "There is an exit if you go straight. No one will see you. I will delete all footages after. Go!" I tell them as they just stare at me.

"No. We won't leave you again." dad(j) says. "BUT I'M NOT ASKING! LEAVE! Don't make me." I say feeling mad. They all look at me shocked. "Please just go! I never should've went to see all of you." I say. George grabs a hold of my hands and I pull them back. "Just go!" I say. "I'm sorry, Hope. But we only have a few minutes left. Forgive us after you wake up." I hear Aunt Alex say behind me but before I turn around I feel something stick to my neck. "No. Why-why did you do that? No. I can't leave." I say before I feel George's arms catch me.

George's pov
Alex sticks something in her neck and she looks afraid. "Why-why did you do that? No. I can't leave." she says. I catch her before she falls. "I'm sorry, Hope." I say. "What was that for?!" Taylor says looking at Alex. "You guys said she changed. I brought a kryptonite syringe to knock her out for emergencies in case she does that." she says. "We gotta go. We have one minute left before this ship explodes and goes back to the universe it came from." Will say and we teleport out of there.

We arrived very at the tower. "Oh shit. You found her." Lena says and I nod. I then carry her to the med bay and lay her down on the bed. She then wakes up. "What the. How is she awake already?" Alex says. "Hope. Stop you're safe. He's gone. We sent him back to the universe where he came from." I cup her face making sure she focuses on me. "No. You don't understand. He will come back for me. He will never let me go. No matter how long it takes." she says as she pulls away.

She leaves the bed Kara tries stopping her but Hope was stronger. "We will be here. We will stop him. We won't let him take you again." Mia says. Hope looks at us. Her face expression-less. "Say what you want to say. When he comes, I will go with him. You can't save me." she says as she flies away. We all stand there shocked with what happened.

"What the hell happened to her?" Thea says. We face her. "That monster did something to her. And for that, he will pay." Oliver says as he walks away.
