Hope's pov
I head back to Shelly Island to look around for anything. I then see a message from Darkseid's ship. I read it.

"We won't be able to come back for a few months. Or years. They've destroyed around machine. Our emergency machine is not yet ready. Make sure to delay the commander first." it said.

Am I free? Free from him? He won't be back for a long time. Enough time for me to prepare from him. Maybe then I could be strong enough to end him. Maybe if that time comes, i need to fix my relationship with my family.

I then decide to head back to the tower to talk to them. Something I've wished for years.

I arrive at the tower and all of them are staring at me. "Uhm. I went back to Shelly Island. I got this message from there. I thought you guys would want to see it." I say as I hand them the message.

"We won't be able to come back for a few months. Or years. They've destroyed around machine. Our emergency machine is not yet ready. Make sure to delay the commander first." mom(t) read it. "Who's the commander?" Nia says "I am." I say

"So. You're free?" mom(t) says with her voice breaking and I nod. She then runs towards me and hugs me. Dad, Mia, and Will follows and hug me. I don't hug them back because I have not hugged anyone on a long time. I forgot what it felt like. "I missed you so much." mom says in between sobs. They then pull away.

Mom and dad hugged me next. "I'm sorry." mom says and i just stay silent. Next was George. He kisses me. Something that I forgot what felt like. "I never thought I'd do that again." he says as he pulls back. I put up a smile. "I'm sorry. Can I go to your apartment? I want to rest." I say looking at mom and dad(t&j) as I leave the place.

Taylor's pov
"There is still something wrong." Kara says. "What do you mean." I say confused. "She never hugged anyone back and when she said she was going to the apartment, she used to say home." she says and I didn't realize that. "Let's give her time." Oliver says.

We head to the apartment that we bought when Hope was still here. "Hope? Are you here?" I say loudly. I see her outside just standing there. It's cold and she isn't wearing any jacket.

"Hope. Come in. It's cold outside. God you're freezing." I say as I rub her shoulders. Joe gets me blankets and I wrap it around her. She seems unbothered. "It's fine. I don't feel cold." she says as she takes the blankets off. "I'm used to it. I'm headed to the room." she says as she walks off.

"Where'd she go?" Mia asks. "I don't know. She was standing outside in the cold without a sweater. She didn't even seem to be bothered by it." I say pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Dinner time! Call Hope, please." I tell Mia and she goes.

Mia's pov
I enter Hope's room and I see her treating wounds at her back. "Hope. What happened to you!?" I ask and she just stares. Her wounds are fresh. "Nothing. I'll be out soon." she says as she slams the door.

I head to the kitchen to tell mom. "Did you know Hope is hurt?" I say and dad stares at me also. "What?" he says. "I went in her room and she was treating her wounds." I say

Hope then come out like nothing happened. "Hope. Let me see." mom says. "See what?" she says. "Your wounds." I say. "It's nothing." she says as she sits down. "What do you mean nothing? I saw it and it was still bleeding." I say which makes mom make Hope raise her shirt. "Oh god. Why didn't you say anything?" she says. "It's not a big deal." she says her voice like a robot. "No i am treating that first before we eat." mom says

Taylor's pov
Why didn't she say anything? "Hope talk to us, alright? You're back. You can talk to us." I say and she just stares.

George's pov
After treating her wounds I help her stand and she stares at me. During dinner, she just looks at us. "Sorry for staring. I'm just not used to this" she says and the room goes quiet. Joe stands and sits beside Hope. He holds her hands. "Darling, talk to us. Okay? We miss you." he says and Hope smiles. Something she never did since she came.
